Still getting over a couple of heavy travel/ work days on Tuesday and Wednesday and easing back into training. After hitting some post travel cardio on Thursday, here’s a few clips from pull day. I always stress the importance of listening to your body, something that improves with time and focusing g on what your body is telling you. Always remember stress does not differentiate between exercise induced, sleep deprivation, inflammation caused by food sensitivities or mental stress. The effects in the body are the same and you must respect it, and it required let your body get the extra ready and attention it needs. After a couple of lack lustre days I am now starting to feel well rested and ready to attack next weeks workout schedule! I like to mix up my bicep exercises and utilise different grips to really hit the different heads of the bicep. See pull session below and feel free to give it a try:
▶️1.A weighted pull up 4x 3
▶️2.A lat pulldown 3x 6-8
▶️2.B straight arm rope pulldown 3x12-15
▶️3.A t-bar row 3x 10-12

Sharing my strength cardio barbell workout that was 💨 fast effective and pretty fun 😋! Doing compound workouts generally are my favorite. A common excuse people have for no working out is lack of time. So for most time-efficient workouts I recommend compound lifts because they stimulate many muscles all at once ♥️ Especially when your lifts are HIGH INTENSITY, you get a great calorie burn and cardio fat burn workout. 
Workout deets below (Screenshot and tag your workout buddy to share and challenge them!) all you need is a barbell with 25-30lb plates!

1️⃣ 🐢 Abs roll out + jump up clean jerk to press (5 REPS X 5 SETS)

Un esercizio molto comune ,oltre che efficace , che propongo per l'allenamento dei pettorali è sicuramente quello delle croci ai cavi , esercizio che ritengo un must fra i complementari.
Esecuzione corretta:
Per una corretta esecuzione prima di tutto occorre adottare la giusta posizione per non scaricare il lavoro che dovreste svolgere a livello di schiena e gambe , spesso infatti l'errore più comune é quello di iniziare la fase di spinta portando in avanti il busto scaricando il peso sulla gamba posizionata anteriormente ❌

3) la posizione della testa deve essere in linea con la linea cervicale-toracica idealmente disegnata dalla colonna vertebrale , tradotto evitate di abbassare la testa in fase di spinta e di rialzarla in fase negativa , sguardo in avanti e mento leggermente in su.
Mantenere la tensione sia in fase di spinta che di rilascio quindi sia in fase concentrica che eccentrica.

Planes of Movement:

There are 3 planes that are used to describe how our bodies move

1) Sagittal plane: The plane that exists by dividing the body with an imaginary line into left and right halves. Any straight forward and backward movement that is parallel with this line occurs in the sagittal plane. Common movements in this plane include flexion (bending) and extension (straightening) of the knee or elbow, and ankle dorsiflexion (ankle & toes up towards shin) and plantarflexion (ankle & toes down away from shin)
2) Frontal plane: The plane that exists by dividing the body with an imaginary line into front and back halves. Any movement parallel with this line occurs in the frontal plane. Common movements in this plane include shoulder or hip abduction (moving to the side away from midline of the body) and adduction (moving towards midline of the body) 
3) Transverse plane: The plane that exists by dividing the body into an upper half and a lower half. Rotational movements that are parallel with this line occur in the transverse plane. Common movements in this plane include spinal rotation, or rotation of the hips and shoulder in either direction (internal or external rotation)

MEANING OF MUSCLE IS TIGHT AND WEAK?

The assumption was that tight muscles were strong and weak muscles were loose, so the imbalance of bony posture at a joint was described as being caused by strong/tight muscles on one side of the joint overpowering weak/loose muscles on the other side. It depends on the state of the relationship of these muscle groups to neuro-myo-fascio-skeletal posture and function.

Overly facilitated muscles are excessively favored by the NS to contract; and overly inhibited muscles are under recruited by the NS to contract. The facilitated muscles end up overly concentrically contracted and short; and the inhibited muscles are overpowered by the facilitated muscles and end up being pulled long. This results in the imbalanced pull across a joint and the resultant altered posture.

We have two opposing muscle groups, the “facilitated” muscles tight and short, in other words locked short; and the “inhibited” muscles tight and long, in other words locked long.

It's so very easy to get caught up in everyday life that sometimes we feel like we hit a wall. But it's so important to sit back, take some time for yourself and do what YOU need to do. Whether that's have a nap, go for a walk, listen to music, go to the gym, read whatever it might be make sure you find some time to do that in your crazy manic week. For me that's what Sundays are for. Time for me to switch off and do nothing if I choose to or have a busy day if I choose to. It's about doing whatever I feel like doing! I always need this time to reflect and get ready for the start of another crazy week. Rested mind and body will always lay a foundation for a strong and positive week 💪🏽🙌🏽⚡

During my time knowing her, she’s changed the way I look at lifting & nutrition. I consider myself experienced when it comes to it all. But training with her made me feel like a rookie again.
