1. Eat well.
Eating well has so many benefits: better health, less illness and sickness, clearer mental agility and thinking, better gym results and better sex drive to name but a few. I don't think there's a reason not to eat well. Weightloss is down to 80-90% of what you eat and it's true that you can't out-train a bad a diet. This one rule will have so many knock-on effects to other parts of your life.
2. Sleep well.
I recently posted about the dangers of sleep deprivation and many of the benefits from eating well can also apply to sleep. A big one to add would be an increase in testosterone levels, which have so many health benefits and can include the ability to grow muscle.
Movement is a basic part of human nature (can highly recommend books by @add primal movement here) and is something our bodies were designed to do. Could be just going for a walk, to going to the gym or just doing some squats and push-ups during the day, movement will help fire up your metabolism, release feel-good hormones, lead to clearer thinking and just make you feel better. Even just fidgeting at home can lead to extra calories being burned.
4. Be Kind.
There's already enough nastiness in the world, we don't need to be adding to it. Treat people with kindness and respect and they will remember you. But, if someone acts like an arsehole despite your best efforts then don't waste your time on them - walk away and concentrate that energy and time on someone more deserving.
I have been extremely inactive on social media recently - MSc dissertation is in full effect and every ounce of my energy is going into it 💪
Due to this I made it to the gym twice this week - switched to a full body split so I'm still getting some decent volume on each body part - I'm certainly not making any gainz but as long as I don't go catabolic and get rid of the skeletal muscle I've spent years constructing then I'm happy for now 😂🤔
