"70% of adults in the U.S. have experienced some type of traumatic event at least once in their lives. This equates to approximately 223.4 million people
Up to 20%of these people go on to develop PTSD. As of today, that equates to approximately 44.7 million people who were or are struggling with PTSD."* Research has shown that CBD is a powerful ally in the fight against PTSD. It can help lessen the emotional impact of traumatic events and help lower anxiety and fear. *Information courtesy of ptsdunited.org
This is very graphic post I know, but this was the lower end of my right leg last year. My last operation, on a leg that was broken in 15 places. 3 major breaks in the femur, and the rest of the smaller breaks in the tubula and fibula, this was just the right leg. To put it into perspective, when you go and do an ambulance medical course, they say that most people die from the shock of a broken femur as it is one of the most stress inducing experiences to go through that the body just simply shuts down. But I wouldn’t give up even with two broken legs, a broken face and ruptured lungs and internal organs.. It took me 2 years to learn to walk and another 9 years to get to the ultimate end result. No more surgeries for me, no more pain, no more hospitals or doctors. I am finally done. This is a post of gratitude and the simple fact that with hard work and perseverance miracles can happen.
The bass guy literally walked off the stage went to get a drink and then he talked to a few different people before he came back but at least I survived my birth day even though this post is hella late #isurvived
It’s been such a busy but amazing day. Today I graduated from nursing school! I survived all the studying, exams, homework, clinicals, and more exams! I’m looking forward to starting this journey in my life and see what becomes of it! 👩🏼🎓🎓🥰
7 years ago today. This is what the car looked like that I had been in, after hitting black ice & flipping 3 times into the ditch, hitting trees & a telephone pole.
I remember pulling pieces of glass out of my hands & hair & being taken to the ER in a neck brace where the paramedics told me I shouldn’t have survived that crash.
Some things can’t be explained, but I know that God saved me for a greater purpose in life & I intend to fulfill it. ❤️
I had my first public panic attack yesterday. In the middle of Walmart, no less. I survived. It was not fun. I do not wish this to happen again. I was triggered. It’s the holiday season, which in and of itself can set me off. But it was, I think for the most part, the sight of what would have been potential Christmas gifts for a certain person. Those who know me, know the person I speak of. It’s gonna be a rough Christmas. For many reasons. #panicattack#inpublic#walmart#holidays#roughtime#triggered#isurvived
Decided I HAD to exercise despite the constant dizziness and blurred vision so @msjackson91 and I did LEKfit Bounce... probably not the best idea I’ve had but just felt like my muscles were atrophying because I’ve been doing nothing but lying down for like 2 weeks. BUT, I managed to finish (I didn’t go too hard on the cardio) and burned over 500 cal. After selfie - Anni looks fab. I look like I’m about to pass out. Went to get iced coffee after though so there’s that 😂🖤 I physically cannot stand up to shower so I’ll just chill on the couch for a bit 😂🤕 #lekfit#getlekfit#lekfitondemand#lekfitbounce#lekfitfam#cardio#fitness#workout#dizzyallday#isurvived
😂😂😂 This has been the toughest semester yet😭 Besides taking on 18 units & working part time, I’ve had two stressful events in my life occur within the last two months but Pain is temporary, GPA is forever 😩 Find what motivates you & keep it pushing😌💃🏽 Good luck w/ final y’all ✨ #finalsweek#isurvived#motivationalquotes
// Things I learned this semester: (1) It’s okay to mess up and it’s okay to not have it all together (2) Relationships (of all kinds) take work (3) You are not defined by a number on a piece of paper (aka your gpa) (4) This moment will not make or break your entire life, you will move on and do bigger and better things (5) We are the recipients of grace we don’t deserve (6) Be intentional about walking in joy and celebrating life, even if your circumstances got ya down (7) Loving on everyone you meet is always the better option 🌷#senioryear#isurvived#peepthechai
