A buddy nominated me for the 10 day movie challenge. Every day I select an image from a film that has impacted me and post it without a single explanation and nominate somebody to take the challenge. That's 10 days, 10 films, 10 nominations and 0 explanations.
6/10: Human Centipede
And today I nominate Amanda Murray
Serial rapist and murderer, Paul Bernardo, 54-year-old known as the "Scarborough rapist" was recently on trial for having a weapon in Prison where he’s serving a life sentence for notorious crimes committed with ex wife, recently freed Karla Homolka. Paul & Karla have been featured dozens of times in the past decade on many murder tv shows.
Both convicted in 1995 of the murder of two teenage girls and several sexual assaults, including the rape and murder of Karla’s teenage sister.
Bernardo was labeled a dangerous offender due to his heinous crimes and was not to be eligible for parole until he had served 25 years of his sentence after being arrested in 1993.
Bernardo's 25-year mark has passed and he has a parole hearing scheduled for later this month. He had said he wanted to get this weapons possession trial out of the way before then. His lawyer believes he will be acquitted.
Karla is only free now due to taking a deal after testifying against her husband but police regretted this decision after viewing secret tapes the couple recorded as she was a willing participant and even orchestrated some of their crimes.

MOVIE REVIEW AND FACTS: 🍿🎬🎥
The Collection, a film directed by Marcus Dunstan (so the same director as the original!). It was releaser 29th November 2012, with a runtime of 88 minutes - sadly however it did not surpass its budget of $10M, only hitting $8.9M at the box office, only doing 500k worse than the original however.
The Collection is a well deserved prequel to The Collector, it follows on the story of the first film and answers many questions, also adding some more elements into learning about who the Collector is and adding a whole new layer of creepiness and gore! The film has an interesting ending, I wasn’t left 100% pleased with how it panned out but I was happy with what they answered and provided us with. I didn’t find myself as involved and intrigued in this one as I did the first one, but I still throughly ended up liking it - mainly the opening scene and one part at the end.
Overall I rate The Collection: 3/5!
These are my own personal film reviews and opinions, I am no need a film professional, just a huge horror fan!:) #mustwatch#horror#horrorfilm#moviereview#horrormovies#thecollection#thecollector#gore#halloween#spooky#modernhorror
SALEM’S LOT (1979) #vampirenight
“Someone is killing the people of Salem’s Lot.”
Day 23 - #31nightsofhorror2018
🎟Why I chose it:
This is easily one of my favorite Stephen King stories and an excellent Made-for-TV movie that, like 1990’s IT, still holds up very well. There are some iconic scenes in this that still haunt me and I hope there’s a few of you out there that get to experience this for the first time!
💁♂️What it’s about:
A novelist and a young horror fan attempt to save a small New England town which had been invaded by vampires.
📂This movie contains: mysterious antique shop owners, large crates, people that go missing, floating kids, glowing eyes, a freaky house, and a perfect ending.
😉Warning this movie may be inappropriate/offensive to the following:
Nosferatu, Dracula, Blacula, Vampira, Vampirina, The Twilight series, Vampire Diaries, Barnabas Collins, Bunnicula, Son of Dracula, Brides of Dracula, Count von Count, Lestat, Danny Glick, Kurt Barlow, and 🧛🏻♂️🧛🏻♀️
😇Morals to teach your kids: Don’t listen to floating kids outside your window at night. During the day is okay.
🕷Your new phobia after watching:
Sanguivoriphobia - fear of blood eaters
All located in Ferndale, California, the Marsten House (now torn down) was located at 850 Bluff Street, The antique store at 207 Francis Street, and the very creepy Ferndale Cemetery.
📚Read this after watching: DRACULA by Bram Stoker (it really is worth it) and INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE by Anne Rice
🤓Geek out with me:
-Stephen King was inspired to write this after his class read Dracula. He was curious about what would happen if vampires came to America.
-Differing dramatically in places from the original source material, specifically the ending, Stephen King still approved the adaptation.
-Directed by: Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist)
- Who’s in it? David Soul, James Mason, Bonnie Bedelia
- Is there a Sequel/Remake? Yes and yes.
👀Rent this one and watch with me tonight.
🥃Shots for every time Mr. Barlow or the house is mentioned or shown.
Skipping this one? Try the 2004 TV series remake of the same name.
