You know how travelling to a place becomes a strong memory when you associate it with food? And that's how am always gonna remember my stay at this wonderful property of Sterling Holidays at Wayanad. Over the course of days I had so much sumptuous food that I went into a food coma. Am listing a few of my favorites here.. Scroll the pictures and spot them 😀
* Puttu Kadalai Curry for breakfast - my favorite combo. Steamed rice flour with black channa. * Kizhikoodu which means the bird's nest. You make a nest out of potatoes and coat it with cripy sevaiyan, deep frying it will make the nest. And then egg sits on the nest.
* Netholi fry aka anchovies fry. It's the smallest fish and when deep fried, you can have it as such the crunchy fish bones too. This is one of my favorite combo for beer. * Kappa and Meen curry. Kappa is tapioca. And it's common in Kerala to have it as a replacement of rice. Smash up a piece of kappa, mix it well with fish curry and gulp it down * Kozhikodan halwa - The rubbery sweetish halwa is like a time pass, you pop in your mouth and keep chewing it for a while feeling the taste. * Mula ari payasam which is kheer made of Bamboo rice. The crispy rice along with jaggery and coconut milk infused kheer was super heavenly.
* Kerala Sadya - lavish Kerala meals served for lunch.. this one had about 24 items. And such lavish ones you can usually see only in weddings and festival days. * Pazhampori - my mom makes it too and it's one of my favorite snack. Banana fritters but you cannot use any banana. You need to use Nenthran pazham
* Sugiyan - has quickly become my new favorite snack. Green gram cooked and mixed along with jaggery and coconut, made into balls and deep fried. So yumm.
So.. what are you waiting for? Head to @sterlingholidays Wayanad property, check into a room with view and keep eating yummy food..
Scroll the pictures okay 😘
