A bursa is a closed fluid-filled sac that functions as a gliding surface to reduce friction between tissues of the body. When a bursa becomes inflamed, the condition is known as "bursitis." Most commonly, bursitis is a noninfectious condition caused by inflammation that results from local soft-tissue trauma or strain injury. •
Bursitis frequently causes pain and tenderness of the outer hip and thigh, making it difficult for those affected to lie on the involved side, frequently causing difficult sleep. Trochanteric bursitis also causes a dull, burning pain on the outer hip and thigh that is often made worse with excessive walking, exercise, or stair climbing. •

i’ve been having a lot of hip pain for the past few weeks and I finally start physical therapy today and get my MRI tomorrow— hoping it doesn’t involve surgery but I’ll know soon ! anyway, trying to stay away from aleve so I’ve been starting my days with this— warm water mixed with tumeric (strong anti inflammatory properties), ginger (helps with join pain and inflammation), and lemon (because let’s be honest it tastes pretty gross without it)
I definitely think it’s helping and it’s helping me stay away from aleve which can be really damaging to your kidneys if taken over a long period of time! i would highly recommend it to anyone with joint pain and/or a cold because it helps with inflammation due to sinus issues too!
