When we were in Nepal last year, I took some pictures using my old busted phone (busted camera and lens). I did not realize that they were synced in my google drive. I tried using photoshop to salvage some of the photos and here are some of the results. Hmm. Not bad. 😅😅😅 #nepal#himalayas#kathmandu#sagarmatha
I had to leave from Korzok at 4800 meters and reach Leh knowing there was someone who knew these bends like they knew themselves.Dorjey could drive these in his sleep but it so happened that this particular morning, a certain monk got him very sick.
He drove 10kms and looked paler than the ladhak sky on a rainy day.I asked him if I should drive and in true mountain style, nodded his head and gave me the car keys.
My first ever mountain drive of 225km was simply to get us all to Leh.
We had two ladhaki’s with us who probably prayed harder than they ever have.
Today I left India 🇮🇳(I still have to return to Delhi 😬in a couple of weeks) but here’s an amateurs guide....
India is intense. There’s no escaping that....NO, I DON’T WANT TO GO IN YOUR SHOP!!! I don’t want a pashmina, I don’t want hash, I don’t want a ‘special massage’....“No spice” can still be spicy...I’m sure they’re fine but I’d avoid flying with a airline called ‘SpiceJet’ for a variety of reasons. Tag line - ‘red.hot.spicy.’ .....Never complain about UK train punctuality again - one announcement told me a train was 23 hours late.....ATM’s. GOOD LUCK! .......Cows. Dogs (get a rabies jab!) They come out at night and hunt you down.....Litter is abundant. Appreciate your county council......Varanasi, a place where life and death meet. Brace yourself! The Ganges is truly worshipped. Shame test results show it’s toxic and full of sewage when science gets involved....The horns/honking. Ears will frazzle and anger will ensue.....ALWAYS CARRY TOILET PAPER. ALWAYS. You may be wiping your shit, wiping shit off of your shoe, covering your mouth from the smell of shit. Just carry toilet paper.... Hand sanitiser. This is an evaporating gift from the gods.....It’s one of the most alive, bright, colourful, cultural, beautiful and diverse places I’ve ever visited.
Plus I’ve met some AMAZING PEOPLE - you know who you are! And thanks to everyone who gave me advice.
Now SRI LANKA...#bradventure#india#rajasthan#uttarpradesh#jammuandkashmir#kashmir#travelindia#himalayas#varanasi#whataplace
Hi everyone, I've been selected for Global Himalayan Expedition 2018. I'll be a part of 20 people team that gathers from across the globe, trek through the Himalayas and set up solar microgrids in a 1200 years old village RALAKUNG. This village is home to 110 people from 11 households and is accessible after a trek of 2 days. I strongly believe in equal opportunities for everyone. The residents of Ralankung have many more troubles to deal with, and electricity shouldn't be one of those.
If you believe in this, I'd urge you all to donate for the cause and help me bring happiness to those 110 souls :) Please Donate Here:
A good avalanche is one you’re far away from :). Here’s a giant slide on Broad Peak that started near the ridge and dusted the valley just a couple minutes later. Luckily, it barely touched the route and no one on the mountain was caught in it. This occurred around July 7, a few days before our first summit attempt and rescue effort #avalanche#broadpeak#k2#himalayas
Way to Dehradun.
