Thanksgiving week is a nice time to reflect, be grateful and count your blessings. Over the last few years I have gone through so much change both in my relationships and my career. In those moments, you learn who your real friends are. The people who support you, cheer you on and motivate you to be better... those are your friends. I found this ‘Note of Appreciation’ to Dagma that I wrote on a paper towel and left for her on the kitchen table last week. I had it tucked away into a pocket of the vest I put on when it’s cooler.
I re-read the note. .

and remarked, “Whenever I foolishly assume that I know you, I look into your eyes and quickly realize I do not. My assumptions are based upon past experience and information of you...my own interpretations of you. And now you inform me that you really don’t like pearl onions in your stew.”
Flying into the holiday week super grateful for a little extra time off and friends and family to share it with! I’m going to do my annual 7 days of gratitude challenge starting today until Sunday! For our first day we are asked to give thanks to a teacher. I've never really had any teacher when it comes to my yoga practice outside of YouTube. When I went to go visit Asia last week I took my first three real, not novelty, yoga classes and it was the most awesome experience, ever. now I know Asia wasn't actually my teacher and of course I give thanks to the three teachers that taught me, but I would love to say thank you to Asia for the most amazing experience after getting my feet off the ground (literally) and into some real yoga.

I was able to workout in my gym (living room) with a trainer, not bundle up, scrap windows and head to the gym. I was able wake my kiddos up, push pause when needed, get hugs, send Addison off on the bus and still get my much needed sweat on all before 6:45am.
I create my workout time not any other scheduled class/instructor. I fit it in on my time, for me, for my family, for my life!

Health is what I’m grateful for today! Even though I’ve been sick since last Wednesday, and my son had a 105 fever for 3 days, i know that there are plenty of ppl out there who got it so much worse. Cancer, terminal illness, chronic pain- all that puts things in perspective. Health is everything.
32 years and still goin strong!!!👊🏼💖 I don't get to kick it with this lady, as much as I'd like, these days, with life, kids, and work happening... So, when we do get together, we make up for it by packing many a wild adventure, into one whacky day..😎😁 Yesterday was one of those days... Fabulous friends, scenery, silliness, some super strong drinks, many laughs, and damn good times... Here's to 32+ more years, and us bein old ass ladies, laughin on Lime Scooters!!!😅💖 And, thank you @greatsassyone for holdin down the fort, so our crazy asses could run amok in the LBC...😄💖💕💕
Had a date day with this one today, we have had a lovely day, well I have, I think he has too, it’s rare that we get to spend quality time together just us too. .
We chose to spend our day going to the gym, then swimming......yes you heard right we are now regular gym goers getting on the fitness train and improving our health inside and out.

This year has really tested me in many ways & I’ve learned a lot about myself 🙋🏽♀️.
The most important thing I have learned is that it is okay to put yourself first.. for the longest time I was living to please others, living to make others happy, pushing my goals & feelings aside because I didn’t want to feel like I wasn’t enough.. I wanted to fix everything and everyone around me.. I was spreading myself so thin I was loosing who I was.. one day I woke up & I broke down and told myself enough is enough.. I finally realized that I needed to love myself, invest in myself and put myself first.. once I did that my life began to fall into place... you should never compromise your happiness for anyone else.. love starts with you. Don’t let anyone including yourself dim your shine, know your worth & keep shining bright. 💕✨
When I left the military at the beginning of the year, most people kept asking me: “What are you gonna do? “
“Where are you going?”
“What are you doing with your life?”
“This is a mistake.”
I literally have NO IDEA where I’m going, but I never stop, I keep going forward. Doing things that makes me happy, living, feeling, exploring, connecting with others & MOST important; finding myself.. letting myself know that I am worth it. We all heard the cliché saying “it’s not the destination but the journey”. I never really knew what they meant but now I do.
A new frame or lens can help me see what I’ve seen before with fresh eyes, providing me a new perspective. Whatever this week of thanks and giving may bring, from extended travel to extended family, let us be open to looking with a grateful and generous viewpoint. #seethegood
