A sickness with no remedy, except the ones inside of me. You ever wonder how deep you could sink into nothing at all? Disintegrate. Annihilate me. If I could silence all the doubt in me, accept that what is meant to be. Disintegrate. Annihilate me.
“Harvest Celebration” I had the privilege of spending time this weekend in the “Little Washington” Virginia area and made this image when visiting Trinity Episcopal Church. The building was built in 1857 and reflects a “Country Gothic” style.
It's nice to be home for a couple days but man what a trip. When I got to Fort Collins, the first thing I did was put my mountain bike together and go for a quick ride before my photography presentation. I was in heaven riding area trails I used to ride when I lived there, and had a great time showing a new friend all the beautiful scenery and amazing singletrack on the Blue Sky Trail and around Lory State Park. And of course I always appreciate riding companions who don't mind waiting for me to take pictures, even though the best light was at the end of a long day. #landscapephotography#fujifilm_xseries#colorado#optoutside
To all my people just wanted to say thanks. I’ve grown so much in the past year and I’m happier with myself and where I’m going than ever before. With the photography in particular, I never expected all the life lessons that came along. I just liked being outside, and a camera was an excuse to do that. But I’ve grown closer in my relations, refined my own goals, and learned more about how I learn as a direct result of crouching and rolling around and sometimes clicking a shutter. It’s a humble little hobby that I didn’t respect enough in the beginning, but I’m glad we got here.
Also as much as I hate social media, Instagram is wow. People make the art so goooooood. I hope that can be me too one day.
A note on the technique. This is actually a bnw of a sunset where all the color has been added back in curves. Changes the mood of the original tremendously, but really beginning to get the hang of this.
