If I’m being totally honest, I woke up feeling not so great today. EXHAUSTED and bloated and kinda yuck 😳

I laid in bed for an extra 10 minutes and almost skipped my workout. First time that’s happened since having Connor and it took everything I had to convince myself to get up! It was a killer hour workout and it’s my least favorite so I’m sure that didn’t help my mindset. —
I KNOW it’s not always easy. I know some workouts are better than others. I know sometimes your body and your mind are in a battle the whole time. But I also know that there’s nothing like the feeling of accomplishment. In making yourself proud and finishing what you started. I’ve got a long way to go and the one thing I know is that I won’t get there by stopping. —
So take the good with the bad, take the struggle AND pain, take the happy and take the frustrated but just promise me you’ll do something for yourself today.. whatever that may be ☺️

Today, I didn’t feel like getting up to exercise. The house was quiet, my knee still hurts, and just the anticipation of my man coming home is killing me! .

Also, words spoken to me last night cut me to the core. Why am I even doing this? What is my purpose here? YOU GUYS were quick to remind me. And I’m so thankful for each one of you that took the time to reach out to me. .

This is why I do what I do, and will continue to do so:

For years I felt frazzled and in survival mode sometimes just thankful to get through the day. I took care of my family and their needs but never accomplished my goals or most of the things on my personal to do list. 
I realized something ironic. My daughter has been on a morning and night routine for many years. She does wonderful following a routine and we get everything done. 
My life changed once I set myself on a morning and night routine. Now before anyone is awake in the house, I’ve already accomplished so much. 
My miracle morning routine starts with meditating in silence for a few minutes. Then I read my positive affirmations aloud. I visualize how I want the events of that day to go, how I want my life to be, and how I will deal with struggles and respond to situations.

I read a book for 5 or 10 minutes. I used to read all the time before I became a mom. I love making time to read again instead of watching my books collect dust. Then I’ll write in my journal for a few minutes. 
Last check mark on my morning routine is exercise. If I don’t workout in the morning, it won’t get done. Exercise changed my health once I made it a priority. 
Having routines has made a huge difference in my life and makes me feel accomplished and more in control. I only wished I listened to my own advice sooner and started my routines when I started my daughter’s years ago!

The house looks like a bomb went off and I can’t be bothered with it tonight, it’s been one of those days! Amongst other things, I smashed a bottle of sauce all over the kitchen and cut my feet on the glass, and Ariana picked the smarties off her biscuit and threw them around my freshly cleaned car (I really hope I found them all 😕).
First world problems, I know, but I’m just going to sit here, relax, and pretend the giant mess doesn’t exist and deal with it tomorrow.

My alarm went off and I was sooo tempted to keep hitting that snooze button, but I know how much more productive I feel when I get my workout done first thing in the morning. And at least I can roll out of bed and show up to my workout space with no makeup, no shirt, and no shoes. 😜 Perks of getting your sweat on at home. I’m still not going to call myself a morning person, but I’m slowly but surely creating the habit. 👌🏼 Do you guys get up early to start crushing that to-do list?

It is way more challenging using a stability ball!! I've come a long way but still have a long way to go and I'm happy with that😃

A lot of this comes from #TechNeck from spending too much time looking down at our phones, straining at a computer or looking up at our TV. This stretch really helps relieve a lot of the pain and tension in my neck and shoulders. I hold this stretch for 30 seconds then switch sides. Then I go back and stretch my neck at a 45° angle. These two stretches work wonders!

FIRST DAY
Over the course of next 8 weeks I will post all exercises I do, supplements I take and nutrition I fallow. My goal is not ween the prize, but to win over my body! personally I think that my body is hard to shape, probably because of my age and slaw metabolism 😏, I have been working so hard on my body for the last 4 month and have little result, now I stuck for the last 4 weeks with the same measurements and no improvement! I do calculate my macros to make sure I continue proper diet, I do take my protein and sups, but maybe I’m still doing something wrong! Im constantly educate myself through research on information about nutrition and proper groups of exercises that would target my most stubborn zones in my body, and now I got perfect opportunity to try out challenge.

I can honestly say YES to both of those questions now when asked, and it feels SO good! I have never felt so strong, from the instead out! 
I am happy with the process that I am seeing and the confidence that I have gained- and all of these things have come because I was ready! I was ready for a change! 
Working out from home never sounded cool to me- but now I thank god everyday I decided to jump in. I workout FROM HOME 4x a week for 30-40 minutes and that’s it! My evenings are free to run wild with the kids to practice or get laundry done! I also have taught myself how to cook some GOOD healthy meals with my awesome meal plan & recipes I gained access to all by saying YES!

What’s my secret for making a lifestyle change and sticking with it for years?! CONSISTENCY! 
If you want to make big changes in your life, you’ve got to change the small things you do daily. I didn’t adopt a healthy lifestyle overnight, it started with a decision and commitment to make a change and continues through daily changes. It then becomes habit and you feel weird without it. 
So when I wake up at 4 am and can’t sleep (I guess my body is getting me ready for a newborn 😂), it only feels natural to get up and get my workout done. It took days, months and years of me dragging myself out of bed to get to that point (and trust me, I still have to do this somedays.

I’m not perfect, I take days off, I have cheat meals and I still struggle with stress, worry and anxiety, but I make small changes everyday to constantly better my physical, mental  and spiritual health.

The biggest difference was support and accountability. The girl on the right has 15 women who show up, day after day, and follow the same meal plans and workouts. The girl on the right admits a slip up and moves on and doesn’t hide behind them, or worse, defend them.

Many many years ago, I studied Phys-Ed & Life Science at Queen’s University. I thought I wanted to be Phys-Ed teacher at the time until my 3rd year when I went to a career fair & discovered Naturopathic Medicine. You see, I thought about being a Doctor but I didn’t completely align with the profession. Then I found out I could be a Doctor who focuses on prevention, using natural remedies to encourage the body to heal itself- INCREDIBLE!!! I knew this was for me instantly! 
Then I took a semester to study in Shanghai. Beyond partying, & exploring China, I learned more about TCM and loved the theory & practice. I applied to Naturopathic Medical school in Toronto, got accepted and started my 4 year journey the next year! I learned a ton in 4 years and did a special focus in Sports Medicine in my final year. Then I went out into the World to share my knowledge & passion. I practiced for 5 years as a Naturopathic Doctor primarily in the area of women’s health and more specifically hormonal health. Although I am no longer practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor, the skills, knowledge, & passion I have will never be lost or wasted. It gets applied directly into my content creation for my coaching business now! 
I decided to coach online so that I can reach & help more people in a group setting then I ever could one on one and to be able to work from home and spend this precious time with my baby girl! 
Additionally, this program, in all my years of experience, is by far the best I’ve found for weight loss, muscle building, hormone regulation, increasing energy, and mood improvement. It gets you results if you commit! And, this is the short version. 😂 🙏💪💕

🍋-——————🍋 Keto Lemon Cake with Cream Cheese frosting

Makes 2 Mini Cakes
1 Cake: 271 Calories, 3.2g Carbs, 25.6g Fat, 7.3g Protein

4 Tbsp Almond Flour
2 Tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream
2 Tbsp Swerve or erythritol 
1 Egg
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1/4 tsp of Lemon Zest
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
Frosting
1/2 Tbsp Butter
1/2 oz Cream Cheese
2 Tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream
2 tbsp Powdered Swerve or erythritol 
Directions:
Mix the wet cake ingredient in a small bowl. Then add the wet ingredients and mix well. Pour into two greased ramekins(or one big one if your macros allow). Microwave on high for 2 Full minutes. Allow the cake to sit while you blend all the frosting ingredients in a mini blender or nutribullet. Spread the frosting on the warm cake.

Flying across country for both of us meant figuring out the cost, and more importantly who was going to take care of our babies. My mom is amazing and stepped in, which allowed me to experience the gorgeous state of Montana for the first time, AND witness two incredible people get married❤️ Short but incredible trip! Working out isn’t something I “have” to do, it’s something I LOOK FORWARD TO!!! My mornings are the best part of my day. 🤗

What is the first thing you are putting in your body when you wake up?

Think about it - your body has been asleep for several hours.  It is naturally dehydrated from a period of overnight fasting.  Do you give it coffee or tea first thing?

Could you make it a goal to drink some WARM WATER WITH LEMON each morning BEFORE you do anything else?

Tip - I put mine in my coffee mug so I can't pour my coffee until it's gone.  If you pour it out early you are only cheating yourself!  I also always have lemons cut up in the fridge so it's a no-brainer in the early AM.
