Honestly don’t even know what to say about today, it was SO fun and scary and exciting and meaningful, and I suppose my biggest takeaway is that I want everyone in my generation to be able to see the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, and our children, and their children. Maddie and I joked that our reason for impulsively changing our flight to visit Cairns instead of Brisbane was that we wanted to see the GBR before it was too late, but that fear is actually quite real. This earth is incredible and I want to take care of it accordingly. Okay that’s all for now. More pics + blog to come!!
Had a hell of a time today celebrating Rachel’s birthday! Happy 34rd!
The opportunity came up to have some bday fun, and I have always wanted to do this.
This is not only a fun Saturday to do... but also a symbolic one for me. I am able to do something that is out of my element, on my own/with the help of others, taking a big leap of faith & landing on my feet. This shows me that everything is going to be ok.
Thanks for including me on your bday fun! Love you ladies!! @rachel_woodwoman @thomashefsky and big thanks to Brian!! @skydive_crosskeys #skydive#firstdive#badass#livelikeabadass . Altitude – 13,500 feet
Airplane ride – 10 min
Freefall time – 60 seconds
Opening altitude – 5,500 feet
Canopy flight – 5 min
사실 굉장히 위험한 상황이었구.... 우연히(?) 잘 살았음 ㅎㅎ 심지어 이 곳은 조류가 비교적 약한 인리프(Inside coral reef) 지역있음 ^^;
It was our first assisted scuba dive yesterday. The feelings of extreme fear were present as we entered the world not meant for humans. We struggled to find comfort and confidence. But WE DID IT! And both came to the surface with, what I would call a spiritual enlightenment. So today we move forward with our Open Water Certification. Can’t wait to see more of the wonders of the Red Sea...
