Oh, hey instagram, it’s been a while. This summer has been amazing. Amazingly beautiful and intense and wonderful and challenging all at the same time. It feels simultaneously like it’s gone by in the blink of an eye and also that we’ve been here for years and years. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by some of the best, hardest working, most talented people I’ve ever met. I wouldn't be here without them. There’s not another time in my life that I’ve felt so completely present and committed to a place as I have each day here. I’m sorry I‘ve totally neglected remaining in touch with any of you. Everything is good. It’s great even, and there’s still just over a month left...
My girlfriend and I hooked up with my mountain loving cousin and took our dogs and the kayak (!!) out for a hike. We decided on a small remote lake which has got its name after its unbelievable clear and emerald shimmering water. A perfect place for a kayak, if you can do with the 12km hike!! 💪🏻😬

David and Lucas wrapping up our first morning hunt in Patagonia. We started out in the dark, tucked into a pine forest and were pinned down by two roaring stags, one on each side of us. When the sun rose we climbed this mountainside following fresh tracks and preparing for the evening sit. @_erin_braun told her version of chasing these ghosts over on the @dannerboots blog. Had a lil mouse scurrying through the house this morning. It brought back sweet summery visions of skating mouse patterns and big ol’ bass getting all feisty and such.
Kinda like the cat this morning...but we know she was just meowsing around.
