This was the highlight of the trip. We almost couldn’t make it. Thankfully, we managed to get the whole matter resolved and make it happen for the kids. (The elder one was commenting the moment we alighted from the plane, “Mummy, where are the elephants?”) Seeing the elephants that up close was a real eye opener. We fed, stroked, showered and walked them. We saw them pee and poo in their natural habitat. We accompanied them to their mud spa. We saw how the mother elephant nurse her babies. We saw how cheeky they were when they were playing.
It was a real experience for the kids for they are still playing pretend play feeding and showering the elephants.
