Dinner was satay beef noodles. The grown ups had it served in giant lettuce leaves. The kids had the leaf option and my two year old ate a giant bite of lettuce, chewed and swallowed and then said ‘yucky’. I’m happy she tried though!
Both ate the entire plates served to them. Even the beef! Which surprised me.
Although they ate the entire thing, it was a very noisy, whiny meal time. My 2 year old wanted to sit on my knee and my 1 year was getting annoyed that the noodles were slippery and difficult to pick up. Ended up feeding it him with a spoon between the screams of frustration.
A tasty meal though!
Day 15? I think, I dunno this last week has been a total gong show for me. Ending in the RIP of my hot water tank 😤😭. So this morning was spent running around to all the plumbing places trying to find one who was reasonably priced yet could get me back in business ASAP. Since it's Friday though ASAP = Monday. So thankfully for my parents being close by I can still shower this weekend.
Also spent the afternoon helping my bestie move all her heavy awkward items out of her suite, which flooded right before she was to move out, to her parents and the dump [but she's moving away 😭😭😭].
So what is my usual workout day turned into not but I'll be doing it tomorrow (my regular rest day) instead.
Also thank God for mom's who watch your child and cook you dinner 😄

Best Daddy in the world @garthonfilm!
Love our Saturday mornings at Rugby 🏉. Garth & Adeline come after parkrun to cheer on the boys. We bring the oranges for half time.
I use to be resistant to giving up our weekends to kids sport, now I love it especially seeing the pure joy all of our kids get out of it.
New purchase & picks from the library = Friday night meal planning. I've not been feeling especially inspired recently, unsure if it's the heat or the busyness, or a bit of both. A & R both have birthday parties to go to tomorrow & I'm hoping to use the quiet time get a good start on grocery shopping & meal prep & get back to eating well! .
