This post is something so personal to me. When I was a child, my mother used to follow me and my siblings around with a handheld video camera 🎥 for hours. To keep the precious moments. To look back at the previous moments.
Over the years, as technology changed and grew, the old cassette tapes pretty much stopped working. But, we dropped them off at @fujifilmnordic a few weeks ago and they somehow made them come alive again and transfer them to a USB. . .
We watched my first birthday 🍰 that we celebrated 28 years ago in Bangladesh. In the video, I got to see all the people we have loved and lost in moving, talking form. And wow, did it ever make my day! Seeing both my maternal and paternal grandfather whom I have lost, holding me in their arms. Seeing my grandmother comfort me. Seeing my uncle who passed away in a car accident years ago protecting me in his arms. ❤️
Honestly it put my current life in perspective. I have guardian angels 👼🏼 watching over me. And now I know why it was so important to my mom to run around with that camera, she wanted me to have the feeling I had today watching it back. 🎥❤️
