I always recommend going into the gym with a plan of what you’ll workout, but some exercises will work your muscles better than others. If you’re doing a set of 3 but really getting a great pump, do more! Your job in the gym isn’t to follow your program exactly, it’s to breakdown your muscles as much as possible to get as much from your workouts as possible💪🏼

I’ve received a couple messages over the last week or so asking me how to stay on track during the holidays.

The holiday is filled with lights, sparkle, cheer, food, family, love, and all the other wonderful things that we look forward to all year.

but that doesn’t mean that we are untouchable when it comes to holidays stress and continuing our weight loss progress.

As I’ve talked about before, I used to absolutely dread the holidays.

I was so OBSESSED with the food that was going to be available, going over my calories, and completely convinced that I was going to lose all progress within one meal.

I spent the entire holiday either feeling complete guilt and worthlessness because I had a piece of pie

or ate “healthy” and missed out on the real important stuff in life because I was so distracted.

Don’t let food CONTROL you.

Don’t let one meal TAKE OVER your memories and beautiful times with your loved ones

I let food control me. I let one meal take over my life, and I won’t get those days back.

The holidays are more than that.

YOU are more than that.

Don’t go into your holiday with a meal prepped salad (LOL watch my story for that one)

And don’t go into your holiday thinking of how you need to “make it up”

ENJOY the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the LOVE

Live in the moment and get back to your normal routine the next day ❤️ Over the next week I will be sharing my TOP TIPS on how to make the most of your holiday, without any stress or giving up life.

During this time off my main goals are to decrease inflammation, increase digestion, recover my CNS and to just fully recover😴😴. Currently 206ish on the scale..The next 12 weeks I’m going to shoot for around 190 before I start cyclical bulking to add more muscle to this frame💪🏼. Push your limits today🔥🔥🔥!!

Growing up as an obese kid and almost always being last in every race hit my self esteem very hard. I benefitted nothing from my lame excuses. I didn’t give up though! I made sure this changes and worked hard at it day-in and day-out. Crossing the 131 kg mark (almost 290 lbs.) made it seem impossible, but nothing was going to stop me. Discipline, commitment, dedication and a complete lifestyle overhaul was the solution to my problem. The struggle ended when the gratitude began. Shedding 45 kg (about 100 lbs.) was the result. I can’t be more grateful for this life changing experience. And always remember that when things don’t happen right away, just say to yourself that it takes 6 months to build a Rolls Royce and only 13 hours to build a Toyota. Good things come to those who wait. Just don’t stop until you’re proud! Studying was constructive, my workouts were hard, and I developed more ideas for my businesses dropping in 2019. Slow and steady wins the race, and as long as you’re doing something, that’s worth being happy about. 
I’ve been stressed, my skin was taking L’s, and I might of ate a few things that I shouldn’t have. But that’s OK, because I’ve made progress. No one is perfect, but we must stay uplifted and keep faith through our journey. I need to smile more, because I promise I’m happy 97% of the time. Lol💕 •

When you do frequent aerobic exercise, your heart rate should be significantly slower. If your heart rate is racing when you are at rest, that could mean you are really out of shape.

Take a moment and evaluate yourself by being honest.  You don’t have to go start running miles or going crazy in the gym.

Heute würde ich mich gerne mal über ein Thema auslassen das uns alle betrifft.
Über subjektive Wahrnehmung von Gesten, Ereignissen oder Eigen beziehungsweise Fremdhandlungen. 
Jeder kennt es man sieht etwas auf der Straße und fängt sofort an es auf seine ganz persönliche Art und Weise zu interpretieren. In diesem Prozess formen wir unsere Vorstellung von Wirklichkeit beziehungsweise Realität. Das ist unausweichlich und auch gut so, aber man sollte sich immer vor Augen führen, dass jeder auf eine andere, und sehr persönliche, Weise interpretiert. 
So kann es sein, dass aus ein und der selben Situationen sich für zwei Menschen  zwei vollkommen verschiedene Realitäten bilden. 
Wie wir Situationen interpretieren und so unsere Wirklichkeit schaffen ist abhängig von unseren Werten und Erfahrungen die wir über die Zeit gesammelt haben. 
Dazu mal ein kleines persönliches Beispiel, in meiner Kindheit habe ich geturnt und konnte so von klein an immer einen Handstand. IMMER. Als ich dann krank wurde und meine Kraft mich verließ war mir dies nicht mehr möglich. Das war der Horror für mich. Ich kämpfte mich jedoch zurück und der Moment als ich wieder in der Lage war den Handstand zu meistern war für mich ein unglaublich erfüllender.

Von Außen betrachtet konnte man lediglich einen jungen Mann sehen der eine semi anspruchsvolle Turnübung durchführte, doch für mich war es so unendlich viel mehr. 
Damit will ich genau das aufzeigen was ich oben beschrieben habe, aufgrund von Erfahrungen und einer Persönlichen Vorgeschichte kann eine Situation unglaublich viele Realitäten schaffen.

Ultimately, you get out what you put in. We’re always in control. But it’s INCREDIBLY helpful to have a great instructor along the way.... .

Downtown is quite the scene... Was compelled to workout shirtless with all the other guys outside. But hey, it’s late October and still warm in SD. No complaints outta me.
After a long day of SITTING at jury duty (sat for much longer than I typically do in a day), went STRAIGHT to a gym to open up. Hip/ back fix recipe: - Foam roll 5min - Bird dogs - Mini band walks - Single leg ball slams - Box jumps - 5x5 back squat - Front foot elevated reverse lunges - TONS of KB Swings Downtown is quite the scene... Yesterday I had a great chat with @petemccall_fitness about: Do people training GPP (general physical preparedness) need specific goals? He wrote an article for @acefitness saying no. I do think it’s a good idea to set goals...

But, a strong argument can be made for both sides. I could be convinced. REGARDLESS, we agreed that in order to be SUCCESSFUL, you must ENJOY THE PROCESS. Things don’t change overnight. It takes time. And that requires patience and persistence. Why suffer the whole time. WORK HARD, PLAY HARDER. Enjoy the journey my friends! @flydanafitness .

Of course. We’re all busy. That doesn’t mean you can’t carve out time in the day for yourself. Set an INTENTION. If you dig into your schedule and create AWARENESS, I’m sure you can find 15..20..30 minutes to get your movement practice in. 📸 credit @ryanmoore1192
