@florianschulzvisuals: “When I shot the images for my @natgeo story on polar bears, I spent quite a bit of time out on boats in the Arctic ocean. I was hours up in the crows nest scanning the horizon for little cream-colored specs on the remaining ice. Bears try to hang on to the ice where they can hunt seals as long as they can before they head to land where there is almost no food for them.
In the recent years, we have seen a dramatic sea ice loss that has left polar bears without their hunting platform. This image symbolically shows the fate of the polar bear. This mother and cub are clinging on to this tiny ice floe surrounded by freezing water. Polar bears are excellent swimmers but the longer the distances get, the more energy the animals lose and young cubs often don't survive the long swims. The longest recorded traverse of a female polar bear lasted 9 days and covered 687 km (426 miles). Her cub died during this swim and she lost 22% of her body weight. We should all care! Temperatures in the Arctic are rising at twice the speed but the effects of climate change can be felt everywhere. Record-breaking heat, stronger hurricanes, more severe droughts, floods and devastating wildfires. Climate change is real and we need to finally address it in major ways. Please follow me @florianschulzvisuals as I document the remaining wilderness areas and its wildlife on our planet.”
Relationships like these are a blessing but there is a decline in these relationships. Our oceans are losing its sharks at an accelerated rate all for a bowl of soup. Join us. I've been very fortunate to have met Emma the 15ft Tiger nearly 2 decades ago! The constant magical moments she has allowed me to experience on a weekly basis touch my soul! Words are not available to even try to explain what a relationship with a wild animal like this is like! These incredible encounters fuel a raging fire in my heart, as I know if our species doesn't change how we treat most animals on the planet...she will most likely die a horribly painful death! Imagine if someone gathered up all the dogs in the neighborhood hacked off their appendages and left them to die! We Must End the War on Sharks! Ban the Shark Fin Trade Worldwide! Stop the Needless Slaughter! Ban Trophy Hunting! Be the Change the World needs to see! @jim_abernethy #emmathetiger#endcruelty#saveprotectedanimals#beautiful#saveprotectedanimals#epicencounters#lovesharks
Every year, approximately 250,000 bulls are killed in bullfights. The animals are stabbed multiple times before suffering slow, agonizing deaths in front of an audience, including children. But the question is how can a normal person find this entertaining⁉️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀#veganish#veganistheanswer#veganisthefuture#thefutureisvegan#vegannation#veganfacts#endcruelty#stopcruelty#nocruelty ⠀⠀⠀

The long time propaganda that milk does a body good is all lies. We are the only species on Earth that consume the milk of another animal. Milk increases risk for cancer due to the hormone called Insulin Growth Factor-1. This hormone is a naturally occurring hormone found in the milk of both cows and human mothers. It affects cell growth and is responsible for the quick growth of infants in both species. This is why it is biologically present in mother's milk, since it is meant to be consumed by infants. When cows milk is consumed by humans, it behaves as a cancer accelerator. IGF-1 is not destroyed in the pasteurization process nor during human digestion and is therefore biologically active in humans, being associated with breast, prostate, and colon cancers. Insulin Growth Factor promotes cell division. As cells divide, at some point they are instructed to stop dividing. This is called "programmed cell death". If programmed cell death does not occur, cells continue growing uncontrollably, which is another way of saying cancer. Constantly consuming dairy is a way of constantly promoting cell growth. Cancer is uncontrolled cell division. Milk also leeches calcium from your bones that leads to osteoporosis but you've been told differently. Just remember: Cancer and chronic disease is a big business in US. The sicker you are = more profits. #Vegan#EndCruelty#DairyisSickAndCruel
Rocky, Ella, Piper, Lucy, Russ and Buster are six of the more than 100 puppies the ISPCA rescued last week from appalling conditions on two separate properties. These cuties are available for adoption from the ISPCA Donegal Animal Rehabilitation Centre. More the the rescued puppies will be available for adoption in coming weeks. Animal testing doesn't save lives, it wastes resources and time. Thanks to animal testing we are able to cure cancer in mice, the same cure failed to save humans.
In fact, over 90% of animal tested cures failed to cure the diseases in humans. False positives in animals have hindered progress.
Demand alternative cure development methods:
- cell cultures
- human tissues
- in chemico testing
- organ on a chip - imaging studies - molecular methods (genomics/proteomics/metabolomics)
- microdosing - microorganisms
- population research
- volunteer studies - computer models
