Big thanks to @restaurant_allure and @terrypriem and crew for a lovely night out yesterday! This masks the beginning of the national restaurant week in the Netherlands, when the best places to eat serve a budget friendly menu. We've been meaning to try Allure for a while and this week presented the perfect opportunity. The highlights of my evening was definitely the crazy inventive salmon starter, which was paired with grilled mussels, a wasabi and curry ice cream, drops of kewpie, and cucumber rolls, with a sesame oil and a wakame salad. It was also the very first time I've ever tried a restaurant cheese board, which these guys are famous for in the Netherlands. I'm still not a huge fan of blue cheese, but the other ones were good!
The other dishes: a croquette of baba ganoush, a taco with goat's cheese, pickled cabbage, and jalapeño, a soup of parmesan with olive oil, salt, and a parmesan cracker, pulled pork with a picalily sauce and a slice of pickle, the salmon dish, seabass from the oven with crispy skin, vadouvan, olive oil, and pearl barley, duck breast with rillette de canard, pommes fondant, pumpkin, and a lamb jus, the cheese board (goat's cheese, "dronken zwaluw", remeker, epoisses, and an Italian blue cheese with cranberry). I wish I'd taken a picture of the dessert: raspberries and balsamic (a very good accompaniment to the cheese board!) With an ice cream made from barbecued beets.

So Immy a l w a y s moans when I want to go out for breakfast. I’m not sure if it’s because I make him get up early in the morning or just because he’s weird but he always says he doesn’t see the point (HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THE POINT) but we went to Alessios and he LOVED it!!
Honestly I was so excited when his wee face looked up and was like “eggs are great!” - maybe I’ve finally wore him down!! He went for the eggs florentine but both his and mine were cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of runny and the hollandaise was the perfect amount of thickness.
We also need to take a wee minute to appreciate the coffee cos woah. Beautiful. There’s no need to say more.
I like the interior of here. There’s a glass cake stand which was definitely hard to resist (I heard someone say chocolate cannolis soooo I will be back for them). The one thing I was gutted about is they have these beautiful marble effect tables which I really wanted to sit at but they were all reserved. Hopefully next time!
The service is laidback while being very attentive at the same time. That’s not the easiest thing to be but I always find it makes you feel so relaxed when you’re in a place like that. All of the staff were very polite and friendly so that’s also a huge bonus as well. We live just down the road so safe to say we will be returning!🍴☕️🍳🥚

#blessed that I didn’t have to choose between crab cakes or scallops. Ocean & Gulf. Jumbo lump crab cakes, deep see scallops, gulf shrimps, garlicky beans, saffron rice. #❤️ #eatingout#baltimore#seafood#crabcakes @bluestonerestaurant
🌿💙 DO YOU LOVE DINING OUT? Part 1/2.
It is possibly one of the most dreaded activities for everyone on a strict diet or for those who follow a super healthy lifestyle. Here are 3 tips to choose well when dining out.
🌿 Choose your restaurant smartly. As the world shifts towards more self-awareness there are more and more healthy options to choose from. I recommend choosing vegan restaurants, restaurants with tasting menus, and healthy organic restaurants.
🌿The eyes are bigger than the stomach, so order less food than your heart and stomach tell you. Always start with a glass of water -a simple tip to consume less calories in a seating and help you be fulfilled more quickly!
🌿 No bread, thank you. Let the waitresses know that you won’t be needing the bread. It is tough to resist the butter and warm bread, but you will be exceeding your caloric intake, especially if you add the drinks, bread, appetizer, main meal and dessert.
🌿💙It's these small efforts that make all the difference in maintaining your progress!
🌿💙 ¿TE ENCANTA SALIR A COMER? Parte 1/2.
