Take a minute to think "why" you do the things you do, not what.
I write informational blogs. I create videos on YouTube. I post pictures of bobbleheads and post them. I post motivational quotes. Those are all the things of "what" I do.
"Why" I do it is something different. Why I do the things I do is because I want to help. I want to provide value. I want others around me to win. It's that simple.
If I can bring any type of value to you, then I've hit my goal. Why do you do the things you do?👇
Tremendous Tuesday ⭐️Sitting here at for half an hour waiting for the train to finish changing tracks. I’m not sure if it’s a blessing or a curse but I always seem to get the longest train and the ones that back up 100 times. if I go all the way around it seems that it always beats me so I’m thinking that it’s a blessing. We should always see the positivity on things. There’s no magic pill just stay on Track all day and exercise. It’s all about balance and
Time. If you fall off the track, get back on, don’t give up. Don’t keep going down the wrong track or the broken one. In the last few months I’ve noticed that I myself, the way I think has changed immensely. I no longer let people walk all over me or just do things to please them. I have finally became confident enough to express my feelings without hesitation or hurting someone else’s. If it doesn’t benefit me in some way, this girl isn’t a part of it. Now that being said, true to yourself. You get one life, live it your way. This is a real eye-opener for me a new beginning. Whomever thought that along this journey and transformation that I would get so much more than just a loss. I may have lost a lot of me physically. But I have gained so much more. I’m finally on the right Track!
Everyone has a story and a journey. What is yours? Let’s talk about it ⬇️comment below⬇️
"We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It's one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it's another to think that yours is the only path." - Paulo Coelho 💯💡
THE POCKET-KNIFE & THE MACHETE
You are good at SO many things that it’s hard to zone-in on just one key strength of yours.
Your wide skillset and abilities across different areas make you a more well-rounded person, right?
The reality is that THIS is a white-lie you tell yourself to mask your own laziness in identifying your edge.
Yes, you ARE talented in multiple areas.
Yes your dimensionality makes you interesting.
But the blade of a pocketknife is not the same as that of a machete.
And when you are hacking a success path through the jungle of life, you don’t want an all-purpose tool. That device is for AFTER you get through the jungle. Because the big secret that nobody tells you is that FOCUSED skill comes first....and THEN you can display your wider talents.
But “wider” is not a strength....at first.
Whatever goal you have in life, you must first identify your superpower and ignore the secondary abilities you may possess. A helpful tip is to step back and look at ALL your interests to identify the common thread running through them. I enjoy writing, performing music and relationship-building. In truth, these all fall under the skill of “communication.” For the big picture, I am not an author, a musician and a salesperson- even if I am. And so you must review YOUR skillset from 10,000 feet to identify YOUR primary weapon. That jungle of life doesn’t care the shape or color of your machete. It only demands that you HAVE one. And until you have identified it....you don’t.
Stop selling yourself that you’re some sort of “Renaissance” Person and get perspective on what can really propel you. Later on, you will claim all those other miscellaneous interests. But in the world of value-creation, you MUST first deliver something real.
Take the time to give yourself that chance.
