Today started with Day 1 of a new thing, and ended with Day 1 of half marathon training...just a couple miles🏃🏻♀️. Oh...and I turned 36!!🎉 I can’t believe I’m already in the latter 1/2 of 30’s, but I still feel like I’m in my 20’s. When you have a vision for what’s next and direction for how to get there, but there’s something holding you back; it is resistance. Resistance is procrastination, fear, self-doubt, and so much more. Resistance is internal. There’s something inside of you that is holding you back, keeping you where you are, and stopping you from walking into your greatness. Resistance shows up over and over again. Resistance is an ongoing struggle. Therefore, we must acknowledge the resistance within and how it shows up for us; it is different for every person. .
How does it look or show up for you? How does it feel in your body? What’s keeping you from doing what you are meant to do? What’s holding you back?
To answer these questions and be honest with yourself is the first step in overcoming resistance. Pushing through your internal roadblock. .

Recently I've been going through some difficult times guys. I discovered news that rocked my world and challenged the very foundation of one of my longest relationships. Since then I have been plagued by doubt, uncertainty and the feeling that I was trying to hold tight to wet sand slipping between my fingers.
I have always thought of life, our relationships and our very existence as fleeting. But when put into practice how willing are we to actually let go? How do you know when to hold tight or when to release? I am doing my very best to trust, relinquish control and consider the theory that things not meant for me, will never be. But man, is that hard.
If you have any thoughts, words of wisdom, advice or just some positive, healing vibes to send, I am open to receiving.
I was never a runner growing up. In fact, I always hated running. I tried to pick it up several times in my life and it never stuck. I didn’t like feeling out of breath and I could never go very far without feeling like I would die. I find it funny now because it’s something I don’t think that I could without. I love it. I need it.

Due to circumstances completely out of my control I have to do some crazy shifting of miles and days running this week. It’s easy for me to get frustrated and let self doubt and fear creep in during these times. 2 miles warm up, hill repeats, 1 mile down. We are only smilling because we both are still alive after Day 1 of our new 8 wk exercise program. My goal is to dig deep each workout and get the excuses out of my head so I can have a transformation from the inside out. Day 1 of my new 8 Week Program ✅ Lifting Heavy followed by some Intense Cardio and Core Work 💪 I don’t know how I made it through but I know that it’s going to be worth it ❤️ I can already tell how sore I’m going to be in the morning but I can also tell that I’m going to see some serious changes in 8 Weeks 🤗
RACE REPORT- 🏊🏻♀️🚴🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🥇 Race day is a feeling of excitement and bundled up nervousness all together! You rise before the sun ☀️ to get nutrition in and geared up to head to the race. I’m one who prefers to have everything put together the night before, my nerves are going enough, no need to add stress! 😅 So the morning brings a little more ease. Put my #TriTats on and off I go! 🌟Arrive to transition, skip body marking line 💪🏼 and find my spot. The buzz of race morning is awesome! So many eager and nervous racers. Get set up and ready for swim warm up. A few minutes to get some strokes in and adapt to water temps. 🏊🏻♀️
🌟Beach line up in wave groups and an athlete next to says, “your gonna win this.” 😳 huh. She knew of me through a friend, guess she had more confidence in me than I did. I never show up thinking I’m going to win, too much pressure. 😏But I do show up going to give it my best effort for that day! Anything can happen race day, I have to be willing to adapt and go with things. Run my race! I’m up against lots of talented great racers, so focusing on my race is all I can do. 😎 🏊🏻♀️ swim kicked off and somehow I managed to get out in front and hold it! 🥇1st female out of the water! Off to my favorite, the bike! 🚴🏼♀️ My game plan on the bike is hammer it! It’s a short race and I know there are faster runners behind me! My bike is strong, so I take advantage of that! My best chance is create a big lead off the bike to run, to hold them off! 😬 I know by the turn around where I stand. 🏃🏼♀️ Happy to hold 1st off the bike, a place I’ve been before. But now the real work begins!!! The run! When your in front you have this sense of heavy breathing and pounding feet coming up behind you. 😬You don’t see them coming, you hear them as they pass you deflating you a little bit. Luckily, the only few who passed me were all men! 😆 So no deflation! I dug in deep in the last mile to ensure I held off any closing in on me! 🌟 Crossing that finish line 🏁 not 100 percent sure, but thinking I did it! 💪🏼 I held my 1st place age group rank for a third year in a row! ⬇️ continues in comments......#medalmonday
