We have lived in the desert for two years now and the this vast and arid land still astounds us. Our perception of beauty has definitely changed from admiring the endless blue to finding peace in endless red. 📷: @jordorn.curtis.95
Had one of those amazing Mondays that feel like a Sunday . Enjoyed brunch creek-side & it was lovely 🥞☕️
Beautiful weather, 🍂fall palette all around us & perfect company 👌🏻. Universe, Can I have more of these moments please🙏🏻
Sunday night means cozying up in a bed with our favorite pillows and catching up on our shows🙈. Our decorative pillows aren’t just for display, soft, plush and build to withstand the test of time, they’re functional, too. 💙 📷: @roehnerryan

Yesterday was long! India flew in to LA from Idaho yesterday morning, met up with me while I was at work, and when I got off we drove out to our cute little Airbnb in the desert that Ellen is treating us to for the weekend 🌵 All for becoming leaders & hitting major milestones in our own coaching businesses this year! Settled in last night, cooked up some dinner, drank some wine & just caught up with each others’ lives 💁🏻♀️ Quality girl time has been much needed!
But this retreat isn’t all just play, we’re doing a bit of work while we’re out here too 😉 Just checked in with our Become A Coach workshop we’re hosting during the weekend after getting our morning workout in. The three of us have different stories, journeys & goals and coaching has transformed our lives for the better so we want to share this with you! Keep watching my stories this weekend to see how coaches get work done all while having fun too 🤸🏻♀️ #WorkHardRelaxHarder#TFYFLeadershipRetreat
For our Monks Shadow client one of their favorite spaces in the house is the “Perch” a space out and away from the home, where one can sit in solitude and draw inspiration from the world around them. 📷: Rick Brazil
What brings you Joy? For our Monks Shadow homeowner Joy is a place where one can live within nature rather than imposing on it. Using a pallet of glass, wood and site-matched integral colored concrete and stucco. The home invites the landscape up to the edge of the home, bringing nature in rather than blocking it out. 📷: Rick Brazil
For our Monks Shadow Owner, the views out were just as important as the views in. One of their favorite moments and programmatic request was that they begin and end each day with a view of the Praying Monk on Camelback Mountain. 📷: Rick Brazil
What brings you joy? At Kendle design collaborative this is a question we ask our self’s every day. As architects at Kendle Design Collaborative we feel our primary responsibility is to clearly understand our client’s priorities, their values, and aspirations, but most importantly to understand what brings them joy. Throughout this series, we will ask our clients “What brings you joy?” and see how it is lived out every day in the home of their dreams.
We are so thrilled seeing ‘Canal house’ published worldwide by an Australian publishing group in “Interiors: Inside the American Home”. How this house has connected to people around the world continues to blow us away and keeps us inspired to keep designing for the pioneer spirit in all of you, so thank you! Special thanks to our partner on this @boxwell_homes and the amazing photos by @roehnerryan . The book is available on Amazon for anyone interested

Similar to the front facade the back yard has a rhythm of its own. The architecture is crafted out of integral colored block walls, floor to ceiling glass and a floating copper roof. The landscape design by @greeypickett was laid out in a layered rhythm creating several unique moments of interlocking hardscape and planting.
Desert, boho dreams!! Basics of how to get the look:
1.morrocan wedding blanket /rug
2. Wooden wall art with fringe details/macrame
3.fringe or faux fur stools
4.A simple wood table
5. Decorate with cacti , or other geeen plants
Simple but fantastic!
