This year was.......
2017 was a year of experiential personal growth for me. Every year i pick an anchor word and 2017 was "Expansion" it has absolutely blown my mind how this word manifested through my life in one year in so many unexpected areas,
Taking me way outside my comfort zone... It excites me to celebrate the adventure , abundant opportunity's and fun that 2017 has delivered me my heart has been filled with more love ,joy and fullfillment than i could ever have imagined.
What did i LET GO OF of this year ?
This was a thick layer of my onion to peel away! 2017 taught me it was time to let go of the micro-managing of life the bad habbit i had created from a place of fear wanting to chase certainty, perfection avoid pain & dissapointment by attaching myself to outcomes.
letting go taught me when you live in flow & allow YOU HAVE WAY MORE FUN ..... #imperfectionisbeauty#mindfulliving#gratitude

Our degus Charmander and Charmeleon (Milo named them) are absolute softies! They snuggle up together while sleeping and most of the time Charmeleon actually sits on top of Charmander while they sleep! They're both brothers but the difference between them is crazy. Charmeleon will happily climb into your hand for a stroke and chow down on a monkey nut with you whereas Charmander will rarely let you hold him, everything has to be on his terms. Charmeleon loves a run around the house in his degu exercise ball and Charmander will sit at the gate of the cage waiting for him to return, but hes not as much of a fan of the ball himself.
I couldn't just choose one photo for #day7#favouritephotoof2017 for #decemberreflection2017 so I've chosen one that captures the sheer happiness on our wedding day, a photo of me and Otis in our wedding venue on the last day of our holiday, me, Oli and the boys the morning after the wedding, my wonderful girls at my hen do and the day Milo met Otis and became a big brother ❤❤❤
Of course my two boys challenge me everyday but I must say my biggest challenge of 2017 was my pregnancy, particularly working full time until I was full term. From the moment we thought we were losing Otis I was unable to relax... It just made it so clear how fragile pregnancy can be and how it can be gone in a second. After that, I wanted to appreciate and enjoy being pregnant as much as I could but I equally couldn't wait for my baby boy to be safe in my arms. I was working so hard in my third trimester, running myself into the ground, to the point where I ended up in hospital needing endless amounts of fluids and antibiotics. I felt like I was letting people down: work for having time off, my family for them having to run around after me, myself and my baby for not realising the body that was housing him was not coping well. It may not be to all but for some pregnancy is extremely challenging so massive shout out to all mothers/mothers-to-be out there!
