the truth is unstoppable, a vegan world is possible! 🙏
there will be SO much activism going on in berlin this week! 📣 @dxeberlin yulin dog meat protest + march, @berlinanimalsave vigil, an outreach workshop, 24h cube of truth + march, dxe german organizers meet-up... ✨ i co-organize two of these events and i'm excited that so many international activists are visiting us! if you can, come to berlin for this amazing weekend!
who will be there, at least for the 24h cube? 💘 i want to meet all of yooouuuu!
This is my absolute favorite part of activism. Talking to people. Having real, genuine conversations with strangers I normally wouldn’t talk to.
This guy and I had a conversation about how what you eat can effect you spiritually. He said that his friend told him that you can’t put dead bodies into a living one and call it life. I told him how we should treat our bodies like temples and gardens & not graveyards.
He walked away from the conversation telling me how everything I said made sense and that he was really going to consider going vegan because he didn’t want to put suffering and death in his body anymore.
Watching people take veganism seriously & understand that it’s the most compassionate & logical way of life is why I spend so much time, money and energy trying to do this. This is what makes me happy. ❤️🌱
A woman walks by: “oh wow! Who are you? What are you doing?” Martin: “we’re just some volunteers, picking up trash, heard this area was full of it”
The woman: “oh wow, thanks! I live in the house right beside us *poiting at her house*, and this has been here for years and years. People drive by, and just throw out trash here. We used to pick some of it up, but it’s too much for us to handle alone. Thank you for being here”
WSH Bergen joined Naturvernforbundet in a organized clean up of this kind woman’s area. We look forward to help more where we can, and will for sure join Naturvernforbundet in the future, they’re awesome! They also had lunch, with vegan options! 🙏🏼
This may look all happy and idyllic; sheeps out in the sunshine with their lambs, eating till their hearts content. But there is a dark side to this
You may notice how the lambs and sheeps are marked with ear tags, meaning that these adorable animals eventually will be sent to a slaughterhouse and have their thoats slit. They are essentially nothing more than products, profit for the farmer.
And do you know why they get killed? Not because we need to eat them to survive or even be healthy. No, it's because we like the way they taste. Think about that for a second. We kill them just so we can enjoy the taste if their flesh for a mere 15 minute meal. Is it really worth killing these precious animals just for some pleasure. Is your tastebuds and pleasure worth more than the life of these sheeps?
These sheeps each have their own individuality and personal traits making them unique, and they want to live just as much as you and I do. We need to stop looking at these animals as products and start looking at them for the individuals they are. After all, animals are here with us, not for us.
Talked to a farmer/hunter who agreed there is no humane way of killing someone that doesn’t want to die.
Talked to a former chicken slaughter house worker who told me that after they made him stomp on baby chicks as one of the ways of killing them for an hour everyday, he quit after a few days.
TRIED to talk to a guy that was so angry at us for being there I thought he was going to punch me in the face...He kept yelling that we need to stop forcing veganism on people and he was angry because these images turn people off from eating meat...I smiled and asked him if he can talk to me instead of yelling at me... that didn’t work either so I showed him the road. He needed to walk away from us before things got worse. I feel really terrible for what this society and system has done to people to get them to this point where they actually defend cruelty, unnecessary death and so much destruction... Weirdly enough I actually wanted to give him a hug... This was actually a lesson for me. That’s how I look at it.
All these carnists that are so animated and get so so angry towards vegans are victims. As I once was. Brainwashed and conditioned to be monsters.
To the animals, we are monsters.
The good news is that we don’t have to be this way anymore!
Please, please wake up.
Please open up your minds and your hearts...
We can do so much better than this 🙏🏻
Six codefendants walking in to be booked in the Sanpete County jail. Despite your opinions on whether you think they should be thanked for their convictions, or punished for their actions, they should be celebrated for taking responsibility and being willing to stand in open court to defend themselves. #dxe#directactioneverywhere#utahjournalism
doing the brief before a cube of truth with my AV: Bergen squad and special help from @karools1998 💯 and yes that blue thing in the mask should not be like that 😝 anyways.. headed to Oslo now... having a speech on Sunday at @greenfoodfest yaaaaasss photographer: @siljevdm ‼️🔥 t-shirt from @ccthelove ❤️
We have gotten our first WSH merch, and we did it in a super eco-friendly way. We cooperated with @fair.square and brought our own used closed, and printed our logo on it. If anyone in WSH wants merch, contact us in the DM or comment section.
It’s been five days since I’ve done any activism and even though it’s been good with a break I can feel the withdrawal 😅 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So excited for @greenfoodfest this weekend though! We will have a cube of truth on Saturday and I will be at the festival with @veganpodden on Sunday! See you there? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So honored to be a part of this. #Repost @ethically_elizabeth 👉🏼 Swipe for Disruption Video
Proud to stand next to 13 dedicated activists last night (mostly consisting of first time disrupters) at @swinesouthern’s “whole hog dinner”, part of Coral Gables’ restaurant week. The establishment is pig themed, with large signs throughout reading heartless sayings like, “Run Pig Run”. Their website even says, “The only part of the hog you can’t use is its squeal”. This exclusively meat serving restaurant even has pig flesh infused cocktails. Swine prides themselves on exploiting animals and mocking them in the process.
Each year across the United States, 115 million pigs are mercilessly killed. Worldwide, over 1 billion sentient pigs are destroyed to satiate the ever-growing human desire to feast upon their flesh.
To put that into perspective, the entire human population consists of approximately 7.6 billion people. Therefore, every 8 years, we kill more pigs than there are humans on the planet. Humans kill over 8 times our total population EVERY SINGLE YEAR if we include statistics for all land animals. More fish are slaughtered each year than all humans that have ever existed on the planet. If these numbers don’t alarm you, they should.
During their short and miserable lives, babies of just six months old experience immeasurable pain and suffering at the hand of humans. The murder machines work overtime to provide you with that side of bacon and slice of honey baked ham. All the while, the feces, urine, afterbirth and discarded remains of over a billion pigs a year pollute the planet, while their saturated fat and cholesterol laden flesh shortens the lives of consumers, fattening our waistlines and the wallets of corrupt corporations. The industries are not concerned with your health, the future of this planet or the treatment of the innocent animals whose death sentences they’re signing.
Before you question the efficacy of our tactics, ask yourself a simple question. If it were you suffering, would you want us to do everything in our power to change your fate and the future of the planet?
Go vegan. Get active. Never stop fighting. #AnimalLiberation
WAIT FOR IT !!! 😊📱🎥📸...... Sammy wanted to go grocery shopping with me - he helps pick out all my vegan favorites & he can have his blueberries 🐶❤️🌱💚🐾 ps.. always supporting Direct Action Everywhere - #DxE - thank you @dxe_wayne for my #animalliberation stickers ✊🏻✊🏻
We rescued Rosie and Bea out of a place where they would be neglected and abused until the day they were taken to slaughter. Now they are safe, happy, and free at a sanctuary. Their lives are valued because they are sentient beings and that is what they deserve. They will never be used and they will never be killed so humans can eat them #DxE#openrescue#rescue#animalsarefriends
some of the beautiful people who are going to change the world for the better...❤️ sqaud of @worldsavinghustle & @radicalbroccoli 💯🥦 surround yourself with.... who can complete the sentence? I guess we all know it! We just gotta execute more on it! Much love fam 🥦❤️
In a country and time where the option to eat plant based is readily available everyday and the choices are abundant, can you feel comfortable paying the food industry to take life for your tasting pleasure? Because while I will agree that prior in history humans may have needed to eat meat and dairy to survive, nowadays we simply do not. Nowadays it's a choice. It's no longer for survival. When you look on the grocery market shelf and see almond milk, soy milk, hemp milk, hazelnut milk, cashew milk, rice milk, you have the opportunity to make a new choice. There are @beyondmeat burgers that taste almost exactly like beef but they're made with loving and compassionate ingredients. And when you put your money towards these products you're voting with your dollar and showing the world you want a more compassionate place to live in. A place where animals are free to live out the life they were given on the same Earth they share with us. One of the main reasons racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia and other fear based injustices exist could be because at the earliest ages we are all told to love dogs and cats, but to be fine with people murdering cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, etc. This is the ranking of species by humans. It's called speciesism and could be the first major injustice that kids are taught. This is no longer morally justifiable if eating animals is no longer for survival purposes. A plant based lifestyle is not only compassionate but extremely healthy and one of the most conscious things you could do for the environment. You don't have to wait to make a change. Do it now and use your change to show others your kind, ecological, and healthy way of living. I promise you will love how it feels when your morals align with your actions and your body is activated by clean, organic, plant based fuel.
Little girl: What are you writing?
Activist: We are writing messages about being kind to animals.
Little girl: But why do you have to write that on the pavement?
Activist: Because sometimes people forget, so we need to remind them.
Our third event in Trondheim was a success. We had great weather and did chalk activism next to a busy park and outside a big apartment complex. Some of the bystanders asked questions and gave positive feedback. This is simply a great form of activism.💚
This weekend I attended "Gullroten" 2018 in Fredrikstad (Norway). There were many interesting lectures, I met a lot of amazing people and I got to taste delicious food! It was awesome!
This is a picture I took when @skadal won "Årets Nykommer" (This Year's Newcomer) and @evolvedviking recorded him talk. Martin is a hard working guy, and he totally deserved it! Looking forward to see what he will achieve in the future.
Spending time with animals who have suffered so much at the hands of industry has taught me a lot. It’s taught me to be patience, kind and most importantly it’s taught be to believe in a better future. A future where every animal can live happy, safe, and free 💗
We have been conditioned since we were little to not question carnism but accept it as normal and natural.
We never had the chance to make our own decision whether or not eating animals is something that we truly want to participate in.
We have been programmed and forced into this globally unethical, immoral and destructive phenomenon since infancy and learning the truth via the biggest social justice movement, Veganism, which came about after learning the TRUTH that’s been hidden from us and can no longer be ignored, is a hard and bitter pill to swallow.
We all consider ourselves good, intelligent people that posses common sense and believe we are capable of making our own decisions; we believe we can distinguish between right and wrong yet when our whole belief system is shattered with heartbreaking truths that challenge our own morality we become defensive and come up with all kinds of ridiculous excuses that quite frankly make us look like a bunch of morons.
Why is it that some of us that see and learn the truth understand what’s been done to us and what’s being done to billions of animals and this planet start making changes ( sometimes small sometimes BIG) and some just don’t?
Is it a matter of time perhaps? Is it an ego thing? Stubbornness? Level of self love? Do some of us prefer staying complacent and live in blissful ignorance?
Are some of us more inclined to go through life being controlled by someone else’s decisions, no matter of the repercussions?
I prefer being free from control and harm and I also prefer the other animals to be free and unharmed.
And that is veganism.
Why aren’t you vegan?
I'm thankful for Paul and his Co-defendants for risking their freedom to save animals. Today they appeared in court for the Norbest turkey investigation and they defended the act of rescue. ✊🏽
(In case you didn't know: Six investigators are facing burglary and theft charges for rescuing a dying turkey from a farm. Five of them are also facing more felony charges and up to 60 years in prison for a pig rescue at a Smithfield farm)
The #Norbest6 appeared in court today: These six investigators are facing burglary and theft charges related to an investigation and rescue at a turkey farm. Today, they defended the act of rescue! ❤️#CompassionIsNotACrime
Throwback to one of the cubes we had in Oslo a few weeks back! The cube of truth is a peaceful and passive form of activism that attracts bystanders to see what is really going on in the animal industry. It is also one of the most effective forms of activism, which is why we enjoy doing it so much! There is an Anonymous for the Voiceless chapter in all of the big cities (Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen, Stavanger, Bodø and Tromsø), so we encourage you to join one! If there isn’t one near you, don’t hesitate to ask us and we will help you set it up 😄

when you talk to strangers in the streets you meet a lot of different people, and it’s not just about informing them about the injustice of animal rights. I also use it as a way to get new perspectives at life... talk to strangers! Even tho your parents told you different when you were young 😇☺️❤️ photo; @siljevdm 💯
