My brother did an outstanding job while I was away this deployment. He was strong for me, he kept me laughing & on my hard days he kept me motivated. I am SO proud of him. We’ve been through a lot together & I won’t lie I was worried when I left, I was scared but you did SO well & I’m so proud you have your own apartment now. It was so great to see you & spend the day with you. I love you even though you a tall, skinny Minnie & can eat a 1 pound burger without gaining an ounce 🙄🙄🙄🙄 #iwanthismetabolism#brother#smile#family#staystrong#donteverquit#nevergiveup
Putting in some work last night at @pcsportsperformance.
Everyone has a story or journey about fitness or a lifestyle change. So here is mine:
About 15 or 16 years ago, I was working for a small beach town. I was in my young 20s and ate like I was a teenager. During this time, I was over 200 pounds. I know some of you think that is not a lot but it was 200 pounds of crappy eating and not working out. I was challenged or a bet was made that I could not run a half marathon. Not being a person who backs down from a challenge, I accepted and began my journey.
The first time that I went out and ran, I was only able to go for five minutes. Exhausted and winded, I knew that I needed to make a change. That is when I put my head down and began to work. I ran the weight off! 5K, 10K, half marathons. Eventually taking the next step to marathons. Then finding trail running and ultra distance races which is all I do now. This is a story for another time.
Now over the past three years finding a balance with adding muscle but maintaining speed. This is my journey. It is unlike others. I do this for me and I hope I can influence others somehow or way.
There is no secret or magic pill for this to work. For those of you who follow @thegrindathletics know the quote, “hard work, works.” This applies to life, business, and fitness. If you want something, work hard for it.
An a very special thank you to @southernbarbellcrew. For EVERYTHING you do in life for me! 😉
Just my thoughts.

I used to be so ashamed to squeeze my booty at the gym because let’s be real it doesn’t look cute... 😒 eventually I started not to give a f*** I realized that I wasn’t there for anyone else but my self. Now I go in there throw my headphones on and couldn’t care less for anyone else in there.
On another note... I honestly never thought that I would get to this point of my life. Where working out became a passion, and squaring 135LBS seemed far from where I was. And although it took a lot of practice and patience to gradually add weight to prevent any injury. I am happy to say that I am honestly proud of myself and happy with how far I’ve come. But this is still the beginning of the amazing lifestyle I’ve chosen. 🙌🏽💕☺️ #donteverquit#lyfestyle#alwaysimproveyourself#dontbeashamed#doitforyourself

. All Glory to God for this Opportunity! . . I’m grateful to have been selected as 6 of possible 500 nurses in ICU to attend this the Annual European Society of Intensive Care medicine and being sponsored by my Matrons from Guys & St Thomas Hospital, London. .
. Doing this as a Band 6 ( which I was told I would never make it passed a Band 5) . .
.. Literally grateful to have met with experts from all over the world ( America • Brazil • China• UK • European Countries) to be amongst the elite and update practice & came back inspired to do better and at their commitment & passions to change lives . . .
. This is pretty good for a girl who almost got kicked out of nursing school because of severe struggles. But the God stepped in and Change my life ! Behold he has opened so many new doors this year. .
. . I was overwhelmed with the level of expertise that surrounded me and I was like I have a long way to go. .
But I’m grateful. .

Just wanted to update my friends and family on how Selection went. I didn’t pass. I made it to day 21/24. I made it to the end and didn’t get selected because of a little mistake i made during team week(the last week) and i knew that’s why. But i killed it and felt pretty strong through the whole course! Never in my life have i been in so much physical pain in my life! Hands down the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’m probably standing at 5’2 right now because of all the weight we carried in our backs and the miles we trekked. From running 12 miles with an 80 pound ruck, getting stuck halfway by fellow candidates going through a long ass 2 1/2 foot wide underground tunnel to getting butt naked crossing a chest deep creek during Land Nav to get to the other side at 1am to pushing a Jeep and trailer with one wheel up sand hills for several thousand kilometers. I can at least say i made it to the end and did it all before getting dropped. The whole time struggling and pushing my body and mind to the limits to get to the finish line and a huge fear of letting the men to my left and right down. I’ll be back in 6 months stronger than ever to get another shot at the Title! Best believe I’m coming out on top! Just wait and see!
1st picture day 21...exhausted and beat up
So the reason i shared the other picture is because for some reason this song played over and over and over when i was out by myself looking for my points in the forest for 10 hours at a time and played in my head at times when i was sucking wind and had to find my happy place. I play it on my phone now and it gives me the goosebumps
Thank you everyone for the love and support and my Guardian Angels for keeping me safe🙏🏻❤️ #DontEverQuit
Over the past 15 years I have been chasing speed. Wanting to be as fast as I possibly could. Looking at elite marathoners and ultra marathoners (people that run distances longer than a marathon for fun) and trying to figure out ways to become faster and more fluid of a runner.
I got down as light as I possibly could. I became fast but was always chasing more speed and more strength to become a faster runner.
Switching gears a few years ago, I decided to see if weight training could increase my speed.
Here’s what I have found out. I can carry extra muscle weight and run the same average paces per mile. All while making myself stronger.
I think besides the weight room, I truly enjoy showing up to a race the size that I am in the awkward looks that I get. The looks of, what is this guy doing, or why is he up front at the start.
I just smile with a cleverish grin because I know what is about to go down.
then, after the race I get questions about weightlifting and running and finding that right balance. I know it is difficult, but there is a place in the world of ultra endurance sports and being muscular.
This was taken exactly 1 year ago in Port Douglas ☀️🐠🏝
I was there on the 1st FREE Holiday I earned by building my YOU Economy Business. (5 Star, All Expenses Paid - Super fancy for this country girl! 😝)
During it I sat down with 6 of the girls I was mentoring & working closely with at the time (they’d also earned the holiday as a reward for all of the success & growth they’d had in their businesses 🙌🏻) & we wrote out our goals for the next 12 months and beyond.
They were BIG, BOLD & very AMBITIOUS, but I also knew that they were achievable as we had 100% clarity with our vision, game plans to execute & we were committed to hustling with heart!
12 months on, 3 of us are now well & truely on our way to achieving those goals & have already ticked many of them off 🎊 .
And the other 4... Well, they quit 😔
I guess at some point along the way they lost sight of their vision, or maybe they had too many knock backs & it all became too hard?
Whatever their reasons were it got me thinking; How many “No’s” are my dreams worth before I quit & walk away?
And honestly, I can’t put a number on it.
No amount of “No’s”, set backs or bumps in the road would ever make me give up on my dreams. Ever. They might make me take a step back & reassess to change up my approach or game plan, but they’d never make me quit.
I wish I had of transferred that same determination to the 4 girls that quit, because they had so much potential & so much talent. But in reality, you can’t want something for someone more then they want it for themselves.
But I can do this for anyone who’s reading along now (& congrats if you’ve gotten this far 🤣)...
The next time you’re ready to give up on whatever it is that you dream about, before you throw in the towel, can you please ask yourself if you’re ok with saying this to your partner or kids; “Our dreams were only worth 40 “No’s” & then I walked away from us having everything we ever wanted.”
If you’re not ok with that, take a deep breath, maybe a shot of vodka 🤭 & then PUSH THROUGH! Because I promise you when you are living those dreams, it’ll be well worth every single knock back that you had along the way.
Don’t ever quit.
Don’t ever let your frustration from lack of progress knock you down.
Don’t let fear of failure stand in your way.
Don’t let the amount of time it will take get in your head. Who cares how long it takes or how many times you try. ~
Your only competition is the person you see staring back at you in the mirror.
And when you finally succeed, all of the struggle will be worth it. Your success will come when you simply refuse to give up. So keep fighting.
I hope sharing more of my struggles helps you see that your struggles are normal too.
I hope my consistency you that you should never give up. I hope my progress inspires you and shows you what is possible if you refuse to give up on yourself. ~
You may see me struggle, but I promise you will never see me quit.
Not done yet but Not too bad for an ex con, junky, drunkard...never thought I could complete anything but a prison sentence. While I may be patting myself in the back a little, inpost this MORE for people that are listening to the voice of doubt. This shit can be done. It has been worth it. Not just financially, but it kinda lifted me up even tho it also takes its toll. #fuckthelabel#donteverquit#recovery
