A view from the studio.
What you’re looking at here is two new works, one sculpture and one painting. The ideas I’ve been working on is trying to make the work more alive, and generate interaction. In the case of the sculpture it’s done in two ways, one is the broken mirror on the platform, which reflects a fragmented view of the sculpture and space from a frog perspective. The other way, is through the light, which plays into the painting, activating it - which unfortunately doesn’t translate in this photograph, but if you can imagine, the painting glimmers brilliantly like the sun reflected on moving water. When you move your head even a few degrees, the painting changes, shimmering. This is a new direction my work have taken as of late, and I’m already exploring the possibilities in a multitude of ways. My next exhibition, which I don’t have a date (or space) for yet, but will probably around Fall this year, will contain some of these new works. If you’re in Copenhagen and want to swing by for a studio visit, to see what I’m working on, feel free to hit me up.
Lemon tart with some mint leaves? Yesss 🍋 🍃 Another facade shot straight from the beautiful city of Copenhagen, since most of you’ll voted to see for more of such shots in the poll the other day in my stories! 🚴🏻
