It’s been a long time but we’re back - and this time to welcome the incoming P1s! We had the opportunity to participate in our schools ‘Organization Tabling event’ to let all the new students know about the amazing things APhA-ASP does. We hope you all had an opportunity to talk to our amazing officers leading us this 2018-2019 school year. There’s lots in store so be sure to keep up to date by liking us in Facebook and following us here on Instagram!
#ScrubSquad at the hospital! Some awesome P3s completing their hospital rotation hours this summer. We love seeing what our students are up to during their few months out of the classroom! #OSU#CollegeOfPharmacy#PharmD2020
Conventionally we are known as one of the biggest organizations for Pharmacy, but at its core is an attribute that drives us to strive for greatness with out any sense of limitations. All Pharmacist have a natural characteristic to care, it’s what brings most of us into this career path. Patient Centered Care is the model we adopted. APhA-ASP has helped me not only grow in my profession but also as an individual. APhA-ASP is Pharmacy but at its core it’s my Family. I am truly blessed to be able to be apart of such an incredible team! So excited for everything this year!
Haha I love this so much!
But honestly guys it’s probably not the best idea to get me use to all this confetti 🤔
@stetolifestyle 💚 I am a registered pharmacist @the_modernpharmacist in the state of New York. However, I am originally from Florida where I completed most of my schooling. I have my BA in Biology from Nova Southeastern University and then continued with a Master's in Molecular Biology. From there, I obtained a PharmD at Touro College of Pharmacy. Currently, I am staffing at a hospital, but at the same time I love blogging about medicine + beauty.
My passion for skincare and beauty started early on. I started playing with my mom’s make up and beauty products like most little girls. My addiction to skincare emerged in my adolescents when I suffered from severe acne. I went through a lot of treatments and products, including Accutane (isotretinoin). After acne was resolved, I was concerned about scarring. I swear this whole skincare routine is never ending and constantly evolving! But healthy and beautiful skin is not just applying beauty products. I don't have the most perfect skin, but using good ingredients in my regime and along with a nutritional diet has made the biggest difference. And I love sharing what works for me. 😊 #stetholifestyle#medical#medicalwork#tourocollege#collegeofpharmacy#tourocollegeofpharmacy#monday
When we stand together we are Limitless !
I am absolutely blessed to have had the opportunity to help play a role in this weeks Class of 2022 orientation! The College of Pharmacy SGA spent countless hours designing a diverse orientation to inspire our future pharmacist in every aspect of pharmacy and interprofessionalism one could even think of ! I Want to thank @hirschmanjohn for allowing me to speak on behalf of the Legislative Task Force and for giving me a couple moments to touch up on the importance of Interprofessionalism! During my speech I wanted to inspire and instill interest into our future pharmacist, little did I know I would walk out of the room feeling more inspired than when I walked in! This week has reinforced my passion I hold with me everyday as I further my career. Now that I have had a second to sit down and reflect on everything I am so proud to see so many teams come together to accomplish perfection! I wouldn’t want to have experienced my Birthday this year any other way than this! Thank you to everyone that helped play a role in this week and Congrats Class of 2022 !
John P. Hirschman and I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Michael DeCoske, a top administrator from Baptist Health. Dr. DeCoske has extensive knowledge and practice in working with "Collaborative Drug Therapy Management!"
He confirmed support of the Legislative Task Force's current agenda for CDTM's.
Dr. Decoske also has a commendable experience as he was Associate Chief Pharmacy Officer for Ambulatory Services as well as Coordinator of Pharmacy Administrative Services at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
This successful meeting provided increased direction and confirmation on the steps the LTF is taking to educate the community on the need for CDTM practice in Florida.
✨Pinch me, I’m dreaming.✨
👩🏻⚕️ I cannot believe that my P3 year begins in less than a month! I have successfully completed two years of didactics & will soon begin clinical rotations.
•The amount of studying 👩🏻💻 was intense.
•My personal life kept slimming down while my weight kept creepin’ up 🙅🏻♀️.
•Watching “Friends” on Netflix during study breaks became a daily ritual 🦖.
🔮I believe that...
No matter how hard your program is or how much you lose sight of the end goal, know that you’re not alone. Keep a little reminder for yourself of why you wanted this in the first place...and make it your new mantra. You can jot it down on a post-it note & stick it to the mirror for encouragement! You are your own biggest supporter.
👩🏻💻👨🏽💻As for the incoming P1 & P2 students, best of luck to you all! Work hard & continue to strive Touro’ds your goals.
Day 3 , studying it up! The last four years of my undergrad has been dedicated to building my path to get into pharmacy school. I couldn't have done it without my loving mom and aunt as well as my mentors and friends who would consistently check in on me. Feels good to be here and bet your boy is straight hustling and grinding to get this PharmD!
Thank you @express for keeping me sharp!
Thanks for the 📸 @briannanorth
