Why does God allow sickness, disease and disability?
Many will tell you that these things are never His sovereign will, but the Bible teaches differently.
In Exodus 4:11, God Himself says: “..."Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?”. It is in John 9:3 that we get a great glimpse of why God sovereignly ordains such things — for His glory.
What a great comfort this is! Is God not a gracious Father? Rest assured in sickness and in health trusting that God will be glorified.
The Bible is still relevant today because it addresses the same problem of humanity that was 2000 years ago, which is still today and that is SIN. If you actually open your Bible that has been stored in your nightstand for over 10 years, you will see it talks about the only solution that worked 2000 years ago and that is REPENTANCE and FORGIVENESS of sin through FAITH in JESUS CHRIST and it still works today. Nothing else works. Advances in Science and technology has done nothing to improve man morally, man is still morally corrupt and bankrupt and getting worse. Moral depravity is the real problem and the Bible has the real solution. Seek the God of miracles and rejoice for I have revealed the dominant solution to you 😁
Praise is on the virtue of the spirit that must remain regardless. Understand that GOD is consistent with his lovingkindness toward us. Situations should not drown your praise. .
Even when you can't trust your strength, make sure you are consistent with your praise. .
ACTION POINT: Think of 3 things that you can praise GOD for today and keep praising GOD for those things for the rest of the day. .
Feel free to share your testimonies of joy as you do this. .
I try really hard at work to be the most Christ-like I can be, because I work with all non-Christians. I haven’t been perfect but I wish I would put forth the same energy in the rest of the areas of my life. God has helped me tremendously in being positive and caring and kind and helpful to everyone. It’s like throughout the day I hear Him say little things like “grab her empty coffee cup” and “ask her about her daughter” and “compliment his sweater”. God coaches me through each work day, and if I would let Him, He would coach me through the rest of my life as well. We’re supposed to show off God everywhere we go. We’re supposed to set an example and lead our groups and our friends and our families. We’re supposed to be the one to stand out and do the right thing while everyone else is doing the wrong thing. We’re supposed to be the one who stops everyone else from talking badly about someone. We’re supposed to be the one who teaches the child to share instead of take. We’re supposed to be the one who smiles and thanks the rude person instead of rolling eyes and complaining. Everywhere we go, people are watching. Everywhere we go, people are paying attention. And we need to impress Jesus onto every heart we come in contact with. No matter where we are. ❤️ #daily#devotional#Bible#HolyBible#GodsWord#Newspring#Newspringchurch#Newspringspa#newspringspartanburg#Ilovemychurch#deuteronomy#prayer#Christian#God#Jesus#grace#mercy#blessings#encouragement#motivation#love#salvation#peace#Christ#unity
The Children Of Adam:
“Therefore, just as sin entered the world through ONE man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to ALL people, because ALL sinned.” Romans 5:12.
“For as IN Adam ALL die, so also IN Christ shall ALL be made alive.” 1 Corinthians 15:22.
It’s not very common to find precious diamonds in the dirt, but at least there are remnants of priceless Gospel gems still to be found on Hip Hop’s pavement in the concrete jungle. We have all heard of Adam and Eve, and from scripture we understand they are the progenitors of humanity, or if you disagree with this position we either descended from the animals by some random evolutionary act, or we attribute our mysterious existence to being offspring of stardust; I personally opt for the biblical view, that’s just me. 🤷🏾♂️
