[EN/PT] Have you ever been caught in a state of confusion, that awkward turmoil of stagnation and uncertainly... when BOOM: the lights turn on? You see everything so clearly and a sense of calm rushes through you. But just as your eyes feel more open and your face softens, you are confronted by the Chitta or chatter of the mind asking "Why didn't you see this before?". Hey, don't carry this with you. Recognize it is self, forgive yourself for being humanm but leave it. This is the dark side of the self-realization and growth, but remember the lights are on and the path is illuminated for you. Respect the timing, and bring with you only that which serves you 🌻
Chitta is part 4/4 of the Mind. It is our general field of consciousness (including the unconscious). It is the inner layer of the mind - what allows us to perceive.
Associated with the air element, it is the part of the mind which instills ignorance & fear; which creates misconceptions & distractions. Through the practice of yoga, we strive to make these misconceptions & distractions disappear. To calm the air.
Given that it comprises memory and the storage of impressions, Chitta is the tool through which we perceive our external world. By practicing yoga, we re-wire the mind, learning how to quieten it and control its fluctuations.
It is only by travelling inward that we can be truly present on the outside.

It is unpleasant for reasons
This is the web of #causation
It is beyond real
With #wisdom we #gno this
Is beyond words and concepts
#Perceptions and conceptions
And with compassion we strive on with words and concepts
Space is a canvas
Infinite #light is the stuff we paint with
The #unconditioned is the stage
The #infinite configurations of conditioned unfolding, the drama
#Peace / #tranquility / #stability / #silence is the ground
And it gives foundation to our #insight
Bodhisattvas gno the task is impossible
And so they make it possible
By taking the reigns
Sitting in the driver’s seat and twisting the steering wheel of the #heart#mind / #chitta
Virabhadrasana II in a single word ‘FIERCE’ 🔥 have you ever been to a yoga class where the teacher puts you in a long hold in warrior two? 🙏🏼 .
Often times the chitta vritti (fluctuations of the mind) will begin to dominate the practice. Can we use these moments on the mat as opportunities to notice our tendencies? Absolutely! When something in life becomes uncomfortable do you find yourself running in the other direction? Carefully justifying the reasons why the uncomfortable situation doesn’t serve you? Can you sit in these moments with full acceptance? .
The answer is most definitely YES! This is a practice which required compassion for self and others and is a life long journey. Viva la yoga 🙏🏼
