A mural for the champ. Marijeto was a legendary privateer/mechanic/racer of the olden era of motorsport in my neck of the woods, living the "bike life" in its truest, purest forms. Hustling odd jobs and working as a mechanic to make ends meet, putting together used Moto Morini's and Yamaha's despite lacking finances, he was still the rider to beat in Yugoslavia during the 60's and 70's. It was in 1992 where his life took a turn for worse, after serious injuries sustained in a crash at the local circuit of Grobnik.
This ordinary mural is the only tribute to one of the best Croatian riders of all time, the 11-time champion of Yugoslavia, with 70 wins in 170 races in 250 and 175cc class. 🏁
