Day 5 of the #CelebrateYOU daily selfies as self-love challenge 📷 .
BEACH BREATHING...ahhhhhhh, this Bay and soaking up the blue medicine 😌
I invite you to try BEACH BREATHING for yourself, it’s easily done...
Take your focus to where the water meets the sand and breath in and out as the water laps the shore
Our breath is the one constant we always have with us
Breathe deeply into your body, allowing yourself to release anything that is no longer serving you
Open yourself up to connect with your true, luminous and friendly nature 😊
What if you lived that way, with prioritizing what makes you feel good and what you enjoy? Empower yourself and start whatever you’ve been putting off. Commit to yourself to try something new, to take a risk, to reframe what’s holding you back. We’re allowed to let go of the past in order to move forward. And we’re worthy of choosing to prioritize what fulfills us, what lights us up and what makes us authentic. ✨💚✨
Breathe deeply. // in yoga the breath is said to carry your life force, your “prana.” the hawaiians and maori call that life force your “mana” (pronounced maná). whatever word you want to give it, pause for a moment and take your longest, deepest inhale of your day so far. fill your lungs. feels good, right? in a nod to #summersolstice , maybe even breathe in another long inhale on the longest day of the year (in the northern hemisphere :). ✨ #internationalyogaday
Today’s card: Listen
The angels wish to get their messages through to you. They ask that you talk less and listen more. (When we’re stressed, we tend to chatter out of nervousness). Give your worries to the angels, and trust that they’ve heard your prayers. If it seems they’re not answering your prayers, it’s probably because you’re not listening to their answers. So, retreat to a quiet place with the angels intention of listening to your angels. Then, close your eyes, breathe deeply...and listen #listen#listentoyourangels#breathedeeply#yourprayersmatter
I love chatting with my favorite people and am grateful to be able to share their awesome messages with you! Big thanks to Randi Lattimore, the outstanding National Mind/Body Director at Midtown Athletic Club, my interview with Randi was SO FUN! Check it out and learn how to feel more confident in your own skin. We chat about morning routines, getting rid of self-judgment and being grateful for the littlest things. I love Randi's suggestion to know what makes you feel happy (and to do it!) in order to shift the conversation with yourself and others and to release the burden of everyday life and feelings of not being good enough. Also, her "so fun Randi" story still makes me smile. YouTube link in bio for full video of Confidence, Vulnerability and Fun with Randi Lattimore. **
For upstate NY friends, join Randi in September for Yoga Jam with @djnaps; later in the fall for Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training with @aimeeshri and in April for Yoga Retreat in Antigua with @karynlederman. Check out the Midtown Yogis Facebook Group for all the details.
The idea that there is enough DNA in each of our bodies,
that if it were laid out end to end it would stretch
between the Sun and Pluto seven times,
and we still treat ourselves like we are small.
The idea that the universe loved us enough
that it painted a perfect picture of itself
in each of our cells to remind us that it is there always,
and yet we belittle ourselves and believe we’re not lovable or enough as we are.
The idea that we believe we are not walking miracles,
even though every footstep confirms it,
each heartbeat is a chorus
from the stars that made us:
Your existence is valued.
Your existence is needed. 🌎🌙✨

Staying active is the key to a healthy mind, body, and soul. Stretch. Open up the muscles of the body & the mind. Move your body, in ways that feel good. 💖
Yoga is another powerful medicine for the mind, body, & spirit.. ✨ sweating is a great way to detox negative toxins while also releasing stagnant energy or emotions as well.💦 Find physical activities that feel good to your body; that allow you to express yourself freely. Making the transitions to a healthier life fun, freeing, & enjoyable..💖 This is where we cultivate space for balance. For ease. For flow..
When we meet our bodies where they are right in the present moment; we hold huge potential for healing; growth; & change. *if you’ve never taken yoga before I highly suggest finding a local studio & trying out Restorative Yoga, Gentle Yoga, or Beginners Yoga. Don’t get discouraged by your first class; try different styles of Yoga, different studios, different teachers. Until you align with the right class & teacher for you.💖 Yoga is a transformative practice; that is extremely nurturing for the body 💖
This is my third and final spring in New York. I have been appreciating the blooming, luscious gingko trees all around town and in my neighbourhood. .
The leaves grow in abundance, in any direction, as if there’s no time to waste. .
Yet, for today, they all stay connected. Rooted to the source of life; part of a larger whole. .
Take a deep breath.
Think of what connects you to those you love. Feel connection to the source of your life. .
Deep breaths are like little love notes for your body ✨
Hast du heute deinen Atem schon bewusst wahrgenommen und beobachtet? Nein?
