3 books I have loved these last 2 weeks. The first book has a Netflix movie that is great! The second has increased my excitement to go back to school & the third is one of 30 books that she has written. I ❤️ Kathleen Brooks novels because I know I will get a thriller novel that ends in happiness #booknerd#teacherswhoread
ARU SHAH AND THE END OF TIME - 2⭐
It's been a month of heavy fantasy and a lot of adulting. All I wanted was a good middle grade novel to dig my nose into . Being a mythology enthusiast and having eaten up all rick Riordan books In a month and a half, you can guess how much I was looking forward to reading Aru Shah. Roshani become my fav author by her Star touched queen novel and I was so sure that this Rick's myth-quest + Roshani's writing-hindu myth combo is easily going to make me go gaga for it. I'm so disappointed that it didn't 😔
Aru shah and Mini are reincarnated Pandavas! How cool is that. If you know a bit of Mahabharata , then it's enough to get you excited.
Nearly for 50% of the book I couldn't get a hang of the main protogonist Aru shah's personality coz the author's voice was too loud and constantly present in the background (ugh which annoyed me). I liked Mini more I guess. Some jokes did make me crack up but not that much when compared to Rick's works. I know Its not fair that i compare this to Rick's percy Jackson but it's hard not to!!! Rick's every chapter had so much mythology references that made me look up Wikipedia all day long with such thirst to know more and more. But the entire book of Aru shah had very lil cameo of mythology characters that it made me scream NOOO THERE IS SO MUCH MORE BRING IT ON . Plus i couldn't get to know any of this mythology characters well coz they didn't appear that long ,it was just a very short cameo. It just fell flat and didn't impress me until the very end. Since it's a quartet I'm looking forward for the upcoming books and hoping that it ll get better 😔 #arushahandtheendoftime#roshanichokshi#bookreview#bookstagram#bookstagrammer#bookstagramindia#Booknerd#booknerdigans#bibliophile#bookdragon#fantasy#bookowl#bookstagramfeature#bookstagramindiafeature#bookaddict
I have been so busy today that I feel like I’ve had zero time to just make a post.
I’ve been helping my sister pack for college all day today. We literally have done all her packing today, as well as last minute shopping. We couldn’t get into her room for a week and a half, so all packing had to be done the day before she leaves. It’s a bit stressful here at my house right now, but hopefully we get everything packed and ready to go for the morning.
I also made brownies today because I was craving something sweet and I haven’t made brownies in soooooo long. One thing I tend to miss doing while I’m at school is bake, and I haven’t done much of that lately, so it was nice to take the time to make something.
#bellesbacktoschoolbookchallenge Day 21: Favorite Book - I adore The Lorax. It’s always been a favorite of mine.
A newly married Celestial and Roy travel from their progressive home in Atlanta to the depths of Louisiana to visit family, when their comfortable life is unhinged by the words of a stranger. Suddenly torn apart, their marriage is thrown into question as Roy begins a prison sentence and Celestial finds comfort in her childhood friend, Andre. Beautiful, haunting and elegant in both prose and plot, this book is a force that deserves to be thought of and pondered and read again and again. What are the limits of love, and how can one look towards the future when it’s burdened by the past?
From the book:
“But home isn't where you land; home is where you launch. You can't pick your home any more than you can choose your family. In poker, you get five cards. Three of them you can swap out, but two are yours to keep: family and native land.”

As a #moodreader , I often find that I feel like I’m in a reading slump if I’m trying to read a book that doesn’t fit my mood. I can be loving the crap out of the book in the afternoon, but by the time I pick it up again after dinner, it doesn’t work for me. Anyone else experience this type of reading frustration? 🐘 🐘 🐘
Anyhoo, I’m in one of those funky moods where my current reads aren’t cutting it, so I’m trying a different “before bed read” tonight. 🐘When Elephants Fly by Nancy Richardson Fischer🐘
It sounds like it has the potential to be exactly the right blend of quirky, teen angsty, and emotional that is going to hit the reading spot. (I’ll post the synopsis in the comments.) 🐘🐘🐘
Goodnight, bookworms! Here’s hoping tomorrow is “just” Wednesday, and not 3rd Monday. 😆😳

What’s quality do you value most in a romantic partner? 🤔
For me, I think it’s a tie between loyalty and wit. I want someone to stand by me even when things get hard, but also go toe to toe with me when my sass comes out. 😂💁🏻♀️
What do you think?
I LOVE to read. I LOVE buying books even more. Babe found these awesome shelves at The Container Store & hung them up so I could have a home for more of my books. I’m obsessed and now want them everywhere in the house. 😍😍 #bookworm#booknerd#bookshelf
