When does strength end and flexibilty begin? .
Going into end range is seen time and time again, to a point it looks very impressive however when flexibility is passive it may not be safe for the joints, ligaments, muscles etc. .
Sitting passively in end ranges isn't recommended, beneficial or of much use. "OUCHY" .
The picture could be showing hypermobility or a connective tissue disorder, either way learning to use your extra range of movement should be used wisely with the strength to support it. .
If youre in a sport or hobbie such as gymnastics or yoga or circus performance make sure you have strength to support it your end range. Injuries can be prevented as the muscles are stronger in extreme ranges, protecting the joints, ligaments and muscles from injuries and improving performance.
