As we get older and life happens it gets harder to gather everyone all the time, but it does make it all the more lovely when we do see each ❤️ #friends
We're (I'm) currently watching The Grinch, the original one, and I enjoy this film so much. But for some reason rn it makes me think of the spring and not past Christmases? So I dug up this photo again, because I took it this late spring/early summer when I was waiting for my mum to pick me up from this place. I was in this tiny little city where I used to go to school and walked through all the main streets I could remember. It made me think of the time we went outside in art class and drew the local church and neighbouring houses. It made me think of my internship at a supermarket there. It made me think of the one time I took part in a competition of the apothecary and lost. It made me think of that one spring when I took the most HQ photo of a bench in the midst of green. It's so pretty. I have no idea where it is. It made me think of dragonboat races and ice cream shares. It made me think of walking to the primary school with fellow classmates, because you'd get better bus seats if you got on there. I don't know. Time flies. And for some reason, this was one of those moments where you for once focus on the good rather than the bad. I guess there's a good kind of nostalgia too. That makes your face tickle and eyes sparkle and your body wander along that favourite memory lane.
I first watched The Grinch in perhaps 2015. I was home alone and bored and didn't expect to like it. But here we are, one tradition more added to the list and a few hours of fun every year guaranteed. I hope I'll have a good Christmas this year. I certainly need it.
🤩 Creamy Blueberry Protein Smoothie

Y’all this Texas heat is killing me & I’m craving smoothies all the time! So here’s (a messy) one I whipped up super fast after my workout 💪🏼
▫️1/4 cup Frozen cauliflower
▫️1/2 cup Frozen blueberries
▫️1/2 Frozen banana
▫️3 Frozen strawberries
▫️1 5.3 oz container Plain Greek yogurt (@heb)
▫️1 tbsp Chia seeds (@heb)
▫️1 scoop Unflavored protein powder (@myproteinus)
▫️1/2 cup Unsweetened almond milk (@lovemysilk)
Blend all together and top with blueberries & hemp seeds!

🍯 Loaded Maple Brown Oatmeal

Happy Friday eve y’all! ❤️ I’m starting my morning off at work with some delicious loaded oatmeal. It’s so quick & easy to make here at work. Definitely will be keeping me full till snack time 😉
What’s in my bowl 🥣👇🏼
▫️1/2 cup quick oats (@heb)
▫️1 cup almond milk (@lovemysilk)
▫️1 tsp light brown sugar
▫️1/2 tbsp maple syrup
Combine all ingredients together in a microwave safe dish. Microwave for 1 1/2 mins - 2 mins.
Top with sliced almonds, shredded coconut, strawberries, blueberries, & drizzle with almond butter! Yum 🤤
