It’s not everyday that you go to a wine event and meet loving artists who drink your wine and paint it.
Thanks so much for the beautiful artwork and kind words @___wolfess Glad you enjoyed our heirloom GSM.
The dreaded cold. I actually thought I wouldn’t get it; like most years I usually don’t or if I do it’s a mild case that i’m over in a day or so. Not this time haha being pregnant obviously means you are more susceptible to things so being in close proximity of people that are / were extremely sick, it was inevitable i’d catch it. .
I wanted to share some facts on this; if you get sick it doesn’t mean it’s unhealthy all it means is that you may be run down, more susceptible, pregnant, stressed, overtrained or lacking in certain nutrients and you pick up the virus a lot easier than others. .
If you’re getting sick more than once per year though it may mean your immune system is run down. Here are some tips on how to boost your immune system naturally and without bombarding your body with too many things (as I believe this also doesn’t do any good). .
. ◆REST - is the number one thing that will help you get over a cold as hard as that is for most people, it is essential.-
◆NUTRITION - warming homemade soups, stews, broths, nutrient dense smoothies, juices, lemon/ginger water, herbal teas all are easy to digest and are packed full of the essential nutrients our immune system needs.-
◆SLEEP - Our bodies repair during deep, uninterrupted sleep. So get a full 7-8 hours or more during sickness!-
◆EXERCISE I don’t mean go smash it out at the gym; once you feel able to just starting some light stretching/yoga to keep the circulation going.-
◆SUPPLEMENTS - I recommend only a few but I also don’t take them every day; Straight vitamin C, Vitamin D drops, Zinc, Iron or a good quality multivitamin, flaxseed oil or omega 3’s.-
◆STRESS LESS - meditate, take things slow, breathe or do whatever it takes to reduce stress as this is one major thing that will make you susceptible and prolong your sickness.- .
