We have signed copies of The Turkey Shack, a local memoir about a man who went from life on the farm to founding a spiritual sanctuary in the Black Hills. Makes a great gift or keep it for yourself! #memoir#southdakotaauthor#blackhills
This is from our first day in South Dakota. Almost as soon as we got into the state we hit the first forest road we could find, and with a picture of one of the maps of the area started winding our way towards our destination. Ran into an awesome elderly couple along the way who told us about the fire tower on bear mountain and we figured that’d be as good a place to camp as any! We love fire towers as they are a great reminder of good times and awesome views from the Appalachian Trail! This was an amazing start to a great adventure that continues to roll on and on!
Craft Beer & Bingo is happening this Sunday from 4 - 5:30 p.m.⠀
We will be accepting free will donations as well as canned food donations that will go toward the Hill City Food Pantry. #MinerBrewing#BlackHills#beerandbingo
My last engagement session led me up to Skyline Drive. I have photographed here a ton. It is one of my favorite spots in Rapid City actually. However, when I am up there shooting, I rarely soak in the view. I hardly stop and look around at all. And not just there, but anywhere when I am photographing. I am usually too focused on my couples.
But, on this night, I did stop and look around. And then I actually took a photo. I know, crazy right? 😉
However, when I left, I was proud of myself that I actually stopped and smelled the roses. Or in this case, stopped and saw the skyline.
My challenge for you this week is to stop somewhere, anywhere and just take it in. Unless you are in a public bathroom, then get the hell out of there. 🤣
Happy Monday everyone!
