Welp, it’s my last day. Thanks for following @astoriabrewingprojects this week and learning about homebrewing. The last few steps we’ll cover: by shaking the now chilled wort, we are oxygenating it so the yeast (that we’ve started in our flask) can do its job better. Yeast basically eats sugar, and poops out alcohol. That’s your fermentation process! Those bubbles in the airlock are a great sign that it’s working, and within a few weeks, you’ll be enjoying a beer you made - from scratch.
Whatever your side hustle is, keep working at it. There’s a reason you chose it in the first place. Cheers, y’all!!
