Bisbee sits at an elevation of 5,538’ in the Mule Mountains of southeastern Arizona. Founded as a mining town where gold, silver and copper were extremely abundant, Bisbee proved to be “one of the richest mineral sites in the world.” Historic saloons and eclectic homes are sprinkled throughout the windy, mesmerizing streets of what once was one of the most vivacious and spirited spots in the west. Today, the energy in this small mountain town remains enchanting and vibrant. Bisbee is a place where you are encouraged to unabashedly be yourself. One of my favorite places I’ve ever been. Bisbee, Arizona is a vibrant small town with a big history.
The town was booming during the mining days, producing gold, silver, copper, manganese and more.
When the mine shut down in the 70s,
the hippies moved in and turned it into an artsy town that still thrives.
