So many people equate “yoga” with “flexibility”, saying that they cannot do yoga because they are not flexible. But in my own experience, the practice has brought me equal measures of strength and flexibility. My spine has to be so strong to bend backwards then stand again. My legs need to be strong to support me. My mind needs to be strong to stay present, focused on breath and peace.

So to me, yoga is not about flexibility as much as it is about balance. A grounded practice, guided by an experienced and perceptive teacher, will bring your body and mind into equilibrium. If you are stiff, you will find ease. If you are hypermobile, you will find support. And no matter where your body begins, you will never regret starting the journey.

When performing a Lateral Lunge on the reformer it can be easy to fall out of proper leg alignment, especially when fatigue starts kicks in

Our tips are:
-Feel your weight in the leg that’s on the platform
-As you lower down, think light in your toes that are on the carriage and heavy in the heal that’s on the platform
-When lowering down, fluidly hinge at your hips, pushing your booty back and stacking your weight over the platform leg
-When raising back upset, maintain that same alignment and gently come to a standing position

I don’t call her my twin for no reason. Love this sister of mine. We walked out in the same hat this morning and laughed. It’s literally been a thing our whole lives. Shopping...walk into the dressing room with arms full of clothes...end up at the checkout with the exact same outfits. How?!?! Haha like I said...I’ve called her my twin since we were teenagers and it’s stayed accurate ever since. 👯‍♀️Love sharing life and memories with her. 💖 And then there’s my little blondie pig tail girly who usually looks like me but chose a “camera” face that reminded me much of her Daddy’s camera face. Too busy for pictures. 💁🏼‍♀️ haha. Adventures with my little gang.  Thankful for this life I’ve been blessed with! @marygraciejohnson .

Check out what she has to say about plexus and breast-feeding! “I remember when I gave birth to my son and breastfeeding was a huge priority on my list and I accomplished it well...Even working as an #RN in an #ICU 👩🏻‍⚕️🏩 Feeding one #baby was challenging then but now that I’m a #twinmom I have to double my supply on a daily basis! 😱 #notaneasytask #bringonthemilksupply

Balanced #hormones (along with lower insulin and better #insulin sensitivity) impact #milksupply. 🍵 I’m extremely sensitive to caffeine- I can’t drink coffee & I even feel buzzed after a chai latte. Matcha seems to be the sweet spot, where I can give myself an extra boost of even energy without the nasty side-effects! My rule of thumb is no form of caffeine prior to food though, your body reacts better when you introduce caffeine to a full belly in the morning rather than on an empty stomach! What’s even better?! No caffeine at all! I consume caffeine rarely, if you are too exhausted in the morning that’s your body’s way of communicating with you that something is off. Make sure to listen 🍃

I know since I've started working from home, ive struggled really bad with staying on a SCHEDULE 😳 my body clock is like "Whoaaaaa! 🏇" I used to get tired every night at 9:10pm, would be knocked out by 9:30pm and would wake up refreshed at 4am to work out and coach before work. Every..single..day. It was robotic 🤖 
Now? Im hitting the pillow at 12:30-1 and dragging myself out of bed at a decent hour- its ludicrous! Haha obviously i need a good RESET! Not every night can be treated like a wild sleepover 🤷🏽‍♀️ Anyone else struggling with their sleep patterns?? Sleep is HELLA important for your health and is often pushed to the back burner (like most healthy things)

My breastfeeding journey was far from easy with Asher. He had a weak latch and jaundice so he didn’t have much energy to nurse. I was so terrified of not making enough milk that I ended up causing myself to have an oversupply which caused a lot of pain and frustration. Balanced #hormones (along with lower insulin and better #insulin sensitivity) impact #milksupply.
