Honestly I miss cardiac! I’ve been in psych for the last 11 weeks and I literally miss learning about all the medicine and cardiac disorders from medsurg 😭 over my “summer break” I’ll be doing he @nrsng cardiac course as a refresher! ❤️❤️
It’s been a very long emotional journey with little sleep and lots of stress eating, caffeine, and tears! BUT it was all so very worth it! I’m so proud of myself for keeping it together for the most part to finally get here and I’m so thankful for everyone in my corner who helped me along the way! I can’t explain how happy I am to FINALLY be done and on to bigger and better things! #TwoDegreeShawty#IDidIt#BSN#ImFineItsFineEverythingIsFine 😂👩🏽⚕️🎓🏥💉
✨CRNA Patient Care Hours✨
•To get into CRNA school you usually need *at minimum* a year or two of critical care experience. I’m still getting familiar with all the different types of critical care floors/units, but from my understanding there is the ICU, CCU, PICU, NICU, MICU, SICU, etc. Though I hear working with adults is usually what schools prefer.
•On Baylor’s website they say, “These include any ICU setting (e.g. CVICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, MICU, etc.). We do accept pediatric and neonatal ICU (level III or IV) experience. We typically do not consider experience in the following areas as meeting our ICU requirement: step down or transition care areas, post-coronary care, intermediate care units, progressive care units, recovery room/PACU, operating room, or emergency room. Experience in an open-heart recovery unit does meet our ICU requirement. CCRN certification is strongly encouraged.”
•UTHealth’s website says, “Clinical experience involving invasive hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive drip initiation and titration, and management of ventilated patients is preferred. These clinical areas include: CVICU, SICU, CCU, MICU, NICU (Level III only), PICU as well as trauma and burn intensive care units. Emergency room, PACU and cath lab experience does not meet the critical care requirement for admission.”
Not sure how easy it is to get into a preferential critical setting as a new grad, but I’m assuming it’s a beggars-can’t-be-choosers situation lol

Ok real talk for a minute: I’m literally in love with Aerie. 🌿Besides the fact that they make the cutest and softest panties, bras and loungewear, the brand itself seriously makes me so happy to purchase from their store (I have twice this week oops). Their company focuses on loving yourself and being real and authentic. They help advocate that we’re all unique and beautiful in our own way! I loved this little touch in the dressing room and snapped a picture to share with you guys because it’s such an important and powerful message. It’s hard in this day and age to not get caught up in all of the Instagram models and bloggers we all envy in some shape or form and compare ourselves. But at the end of the day it truly is what’s on the inside that counts. Nobody else is you and that’s what makes YOU so special and one of a kind. Love who you are on the inside because that’s where it counts! ✨ P.S. I’m totally not sponsored by Aerie but wish I was #aerie#aeriereal

PENDIENTES PARA EL INFORME
Good morning. Here is a flash back to 2014 and now, I’m wearing the same top! I reviewed my progress and yes I’ve gained and lost a few inches in 4 years, but overall maintained inches lost: -2 chest, -1.5 arms, -3 from waist and hips, -.5 legs. So I need to stop obsessing about my weight on the stupid scale!!
