Happy first day of summer! I'm sure your social media feed is highlighted with travel pictures of your friends and family. I love to travel and their pictures definitely get me inspired and add more destinations on my long bucket list. However, traveling alone is expensive and traveling with kids is even more. If you have the means to travel, kudos for you. If you're like me, focusing on financial goals--saving for rainy days, save for the future big family trip [in two years] or something important. There are other alternatives to enjoy your summer rather than living vicariously through others and wishing you could be there with them. Nothing wrong with enjoying other people's travel pictures. Just don't let their travels dampen your summer. There are so many great activities that are free to little cost for you [and your family] to have fun, while you save. Since I had kids, I limit my overseas travel. I use to travel to one or two countries a year. Being an outgoing person and always need a change of environment, I knew I had to do some research for free activities with my kids. I found tons of events and activities! After all it isn't always where you go, it's who you're with. Some of my favorite family activities that we do for free are hiking, swimming in our backyard (community pool cost a few dollars to get in or go to a nearby lake/river), festivals, playdates with friends at the park or sprayground, bike riding in our community and other places, and much more. Even a weekend getaway to nearby towns or beaches can still be great without breaking the bank. Enjoy your summer by finding creative ways to have fun and Google free events in your area. Oh, one more thing, pack lunch or eat before you head out to save even more. What do you [and your family] plan to do this summer or where do you guys go for fun that cost little to nothing?

When winter has the shades of autumn.
What do you do when beauty leaves you with no words? Well, you become a photographer and show it through images. Otherwise you would be a poet, then surely words would never leave you 😄. And what do you do when a person doesn’t believe in their own beauty? You show it to them the best way you can, with the tools you master best.
