Outside workout followed by immediate chillin. ✅ .
Whenever I imagined what full-time RV life would be like, I dreamed about daily hiking, exploring new places, and a lot more time outside. It’s been so dang hot, but the temps are slowly lowering which makes a big difference for RV life (and hopefully everyone else too!) so I’ll take the fresh air and relaxation here while we await our next big trek east in a few months!👌🏻 .

This photo holds a special place in my heart and helps connect me to what I call my true self. // Real talk: I grew up feeling super awkward, dorky, and overall “not cute.” Our culture does a super shitty job of making little girls feel confident in their own skin. I wore a patch due to a weak eye, my belly always stuck out “too far,” and I literally tripped over air until I found sports in middle school. Oh, and I always had a chin rash until middle school 🤷♀️ We all have awkward stages, but it wasn’t til WELL into my 20s that I started working on really loving myself just as I am. Sure, I had confidence from soccer and being a great student but really accepting and loving myself deep down took a LOT more time. Best thing I ever did for myself was cutting out the negative self talk. I was 28 and training for my first century ride. That’s 100 Miles of endurance, sweat, and sometimes tears. I decided during my training that I would ONLY give myself positive feedback and love myself through the process. Sometimes I would tear up coming down a hill after an 80 mile ride just from sheer pride and gratitude for what I had just done.
I’m sharing this because so many women beat themselves down daily, nearly constantly, with negative self talk, and let me tell you this: The brain believes it. If you tell yourself something enough, the brain believes it and it WILL stand between you and your deepest dreams. Make the decision RIGHT NOW to love yourself. To say nice things, give yourself compliments, take yourself on joyful outings, whatever it takes. YOU. ARE. WORTH. IT!!! 💜 Your dreams will find you on the other side. I promise.

Carving out time for this very important part of my wellness practice does not happen with out what I call cultural cues. Setting alarms, putting it on my calendar, basically shoving it in my face to get it done daily is a requirement in our busy lives. Hate to use the word busy, but people know what I mean! Get. It. Done. 👊🏻 .
Oh sweet, sweet shade! At last! Hudson is so much happier and so are we. Just pulled into our home for the next 10 days and it’s completely FREE!! Today we celebrate one month of full-time RVing and had a much better road trip this time around. 👏🏻 Cannot wait to walk down and check out Lake Whitney!
What’s it like working out in our RV, you ask? 🤔 Kind of like trying to make a bed with someone in it...or something! Most of my workouts take place outside because that’s always been my preferred way to move, but some days it’s just too hot or rainy when I want to workout, so inside works if I can convince the animals that my mat isn’t a new bed! 🙏🏻😆 .
The Texas sky is always good at reminding us to slow down, breathe deeply, and bask in the glow..👌🏻 Appears we’re survivin’ and thrivin’ as we end our first day full-timing in #HudsontheRV 👏🏻 the cats have calmed and found their hidey holes, the pups are worn out from a fun walk and all the excitement, AND Charlotte the turtle is nestled down in her substrate for the night. 🐢
To be honest, the first 2 hours after we brought the animals over was total chaos and Nate and kept giving each other the “why am I sweatin’ so much!??” looks, but any life experiences that require us to make mistakes and learn as we go feel scary at first even if exciting. We got this. Bring on the learning! Bring on more sunsets like this too please!😉
