❂ • SUNDAYS ARE FOR WITCHCRAFTING • ❂
Good morning friends. Hope you’re having a great weekend so far. Today I am going to be making, making, making... candles, bath soaks, oil infused lotions and a facial oil to go with my small batch of face and body salves I made last Sunday. The salve (pictured) is a blend of cocoa butter, olive oil, soy wax, lavender, rose, bergamot and frankincense essential oils. I tested it out last night in bed and wow, it’s super hydrating and my skin looks and feels plump, rosy and healthy this morning, even after a minor hangover/burrito/Netflix day yesterday. I used to spend a fortune on skin products from Space NK etc and discovering how to make my own has been really rewarding (and easier on my bank balance). Cunningham’s Incense, Oils & Brews which has a hundred DIY recipes if you fancy having a try yourselves. It’s fun, and good to know exactly what you are putting on your skin.
Welcome to another #PsycheSundays episode, where we briefly cover a topic related to psychology each Sunday. Tonight, the sixth and final installment of the duality series ~ the new website goes live this Thursday, on the full moon, and a compilation of the duality posts will feature next weekend on the site. 〰️
So, shall we get into the last post of this series? 🌓
Clinical and forensic psychologist Stephen A. Diamond (2008) rightly stated that ‘the business of self-inquiry - whether through psychology or spirituality - is often a messy one and not for the faint of heart.’ If you’ve read any of the previous PsycheSundays episodes, you should be no stranger to the concept of inner work and how it isn’t for those who seek a comfortable, regular life which is lived oblivious to the deeper truths surrounding us - if only we dare to look for them. Love and light, sure, but we mustn’t forget the darkness or neglect the shadow self. You don’t do anybody, including yourself, any favours by shutting out the aspects of the self and life itself which challenge us and/or our thoughts, behaviours & beliefs. This is fundamental to personal growth. 〰️
Friedrich Nietzsche attempted to deal with the duality of human beings through his work, discovering that even at the height of enlightenment, the duality of humankind continues to cast its shadow. You can interpret this in a number of ways, but we stand by the basic belief that we must learn to integrate all parts of the psyche, and correctly handle the destructive & negative aspects, if we are to consider ourselves whole. 〰️
Wholeness is not synonymous with perfection, but to be human is a truly fascinating experience. Why not explore it in its entirety while we’re here?
Would you live here?
Found my perfect abode! I don't know where it is though, the design looks French or European at least - it could be in America though because they often used the turrets on Victorian mansions .
Dandelion haul ☀
The flowers can be dried and used in herbal remedies, acting as an excellent diuretic, detoxifying the kidneys and gall bladder. The roots have been revered for hundreds of years as a liver tonic and blood purifier.
AND you'll see them everywhere!! Considered a common "weed" these little yellow plants are overlooked in our gardens, sidewalks, lawns, gutters, etc.
Do your research (so you feel confident in positively identifying them), and you'll find yourself surrounded by herbal gold ☀
What element do you most feel drawn to?
I have to admit one of my favourite parts of witchcraft is working with a flame. The inner pyro in me still gets excited every time. My zodiac says i'm a water sign but my element of choice is definitely fire. Closely followed by earth 🍃
Earth, air, fire or water? Which element do you feel the most connection with? Or do you feel the same with all of them?
Pssst - I am sure you've all entered but if you've managed to miss it check out our witchy treasure box GIVEAWAY on the last post - winner announced on Samhain 🎃🍃💀🌙

(EN/ES) ⬇⬇⬇ I found these herbs (olive and artichoke leaves) while studying and got curious so I ordered them some days ago. *
Artichoke leaves are hepatoprotective, hypoglycemic, and one of the highest sources of antioxidants among vegetables. *
Olive leaves are the part from olive tree with the highest concentration of polyphenols. The extract from the fresh leaves can contain 400% higher antioxidant amount than vitamin C

I wrote the following almost three years ago...when I dreamt of having a conference in NYC where POC felt welcomed, our wisdom and presence recognized and honored! Life is brilliant!! 🖤🍃🖤
I am black woman of Caribbean descent an herbalist, mother of three, owner Sacred Vibes Apothecary, teacher to over 70 women healers most of whom identify as people of color and I am enough. When I first begun this journey seventeen years ago in clinical herbalism my value was denied. Herbalism is my spiritual path and as such my spirit was deeply tested each time I entered into circle with my community of herbalist and saw none of my reflection. I attended conferences and gatherings looking for a face like mine to encourage this young healer to continue to mature and saw none. Conferences were a lonely place to be! I stopped going. The only association in the U.S. that certifies herbalists had no faces like mine, and I'm not sure if they do now, I choose not to be certified by them. Surrounded by beautiful people in my herbal community I still felt like a healer alone.
My grandfather was a bush medicine man, his speciality was rattle snake bites. My grandmother was a seamstress who gave out advice on which bush to take for what. In the face of undervaluing myself, fear and doubt, their spirits won't let me resign this work. Today, my apprentices and I have changed the face of herbalism in the U.S. We have much work to still do but we have begun. This has been my most important work! .
4 days to go until website launch 〰️ Join us tonight for the final installment of the duality series, the entirety of which will feature as the first Psyche Archive post next weekend. Are you ready for the magick of Scorpio season? 🦂🌹
Waking up early to put a few dried flower and herb bundles from @bellbrookfarm together to pretty up my table for @matchstickmarket -a wonderful new year round market that I’m so excited to have been asked to vend at! Can’t wait to meet everyone! I went into this season planning on taking a break from farmers markets and focusing more on classes and online sales but gears shifted and I found myself trying to maintain presence at several wonderful community markets instead of moving things online. I appreciate both worlds but nothing beats meeting people in person and hearing their questions, concerns and praise of my work and meeting other like minded farmers, makers and artists. I’m hoping I can organize myself enough to juggle all of my favorite markets and fairs a bit better next year (I have to remind myself that I’m just one person and can only be one place at a time) but for now I’m thankful for the opportunity you all provided me this season and can’t wait to start my event calendar for next year!
Did you know that our signature fragrances are actually meant to be mixed and matched and layered? 💖 Of course they’re great on their own, but still simple enough so that there’s plenty of room to mess around. Oh that’s right, I said MESS AROUND! 😯 You actually *don’t* have to find your one and only fragrance and commit to it every day for the rest of your life. Why is that even a thing? 🧐 It’s perfume, not a husband. 🙅♀️ Find a few that you love and rotate them... add something different when the seasons change... get creative with it! ✨ If that sounds overwhelming to you, just disregard this message. If you’re intrigued, swipe to see some of our fave pairings. 👉🏼👌🏼💛 And don’t forget to take 50% off a single note perfume when you buy a full size signature fragrance through the end of the month! Code is FALLAYERS 🍂 Tap the pic to get crazy! 😜 #fragrancelayering#naturalperfume#vegan#crueltyfree#greenbeauty#diybeauty

I have always known this to be true. The more I pay attention to Spirit, the more I connect, the more magic & information channels through🌟 We all have this incredible gift within us, at all times. Limitless. Unwaivering. So many of us get tied up in routines, worries, material plane matters & more. What this does is damp down the flow. Quiet the messages. Fade the sparkle. Seize any moment you can to remember that we are Spirit beings living within human bodies, journeying through this life which, as hard as it can be, is ultimately simple & fleeting. So many things can seem so big. So dramatic. Take moments to realize if your Spirit left your body this very moment, anything scary you may have been going through is so very small & insignifigant. We are GREAT & limitless, capable of such peace, love & magic integrated into this human life! We've just got to release ourselves from our self imposed prisons and be 🐦FREE🐦 🌟💜🌟
Love the needles that change color and drop in the fall too. Yes the evergreens do dress up for fall too and loose some older needles which are their leaves. White pine has long new shoots of vibrant green and the sap just drips with sniping. Taste it! It’s soooo good and will tell you so much about how the medicine works to keep flow and openness, fluids clear and moving, eyes wide open even as we move into the dark for some deeper work at hand down at bone level, and deeper. A fierce ally and always ready to support. Preparing an Elderberry & White Pine Elixir with small handfuls of Goldenrod, Rosemary, White Sage, Lemon Verbena, plus Propolis and Honey from our Bees 🐝... 🐝...🐝 ... a super potent tasty one that’s taken in 1/2 tsp doses if illness lurks around here. You can always spot it in the eyes first. When I see ‘that look’ we treat with retreat and some of this, and more to restore. Be ready soon in the apothecary - made will all plants and bee products created and grown right here with us 💫🙏💫
тαитяυмѕ are a real thing. Toddler, heck even adult tantrums... sometimes we just need a couple moments to throw that fit, collect ourselves and then move on. But what about the times when we can’t seem to get past it?
Anger and frustration should be worked through right at that moment because if not, it will build and eventually lead to a blow up.
There are numerous ways to help calm the body in such situations. Coping mechanisms such as; breathing techniques, positive self talk, physical activity, meditation, yoga, holding pressure points, music therapy, and essential oils.
Calming and grounding oils support the body by relaxing the body and mind, while assisting in releasing negativity.
The oils I’m using are blended with some of the best calming oils known.
➳ вαℓαи¢є assists in strengthening your connection with the earth. Giving you the inner strength of patience and balancing your emotional state.
