I love my job 😊
I spent the afternoon at Bourton Vale Equestrian Centre meeting the owner, Leanne and hearing how the club she set up 2 years ago is growing. .
The girls who joined now love hanging out there, mucking out, grooming and of course riding the ponies. Seeing all this for myself I am reminded that being active isn’t just about doing exercise, it’s about enjoying what you do, making lifelong connections and friendships and it’s moving more in your day as you do what you love. .
I know I’ve spent a few weeks sitting at my desk writing a funding bids. But today I see how that effort is worth it when projects like this thrive. .

Big smiles as we lined up for the supper run at the boys school last night. It’s an annual family event for us. My face is mostly relief at actually making it! I’d been working in Manchester and due to the storms there were no trains back to Lancaster; everything terminated at Preston. I received the kindness of strangers as a lady, also trying to get to Lancaster arranged for her husband to come and pick us up and drive us up the M6. They even went out of their way to take me to my car in town which contained the entire family’s running kit. It was a mad dash but we made it to the start ... just ... and we made it to the finish 4 miles later too! 🙌🙌🙌🙌to my son. 1st under 14 back 😊#kindnessofstrangers#gratitude#supperrun#activefamily#activewomen#activeeveryday
Husband joined the hound and I this evening. Love having him with me, we have always run together. We were reminiscing about the endless runs around the South Downs we used to do at the weekends, just taking a map and heading off into the hills. Not so much with the baby and now with the second badger on the way but we still get out and enjoy the competitiveness of each other’s personalities!!!! We always end on a sprint...I am just about managing it still! #running#runningmummy#pregnant#2ndpregnancy#activelife#activeeveryday#armywife
Romantically running off into the evening sun with the partner in crime. Such a beautiful evening to potter about. Behind the scenes however: only 1 quick stop for a wee(!) and slight lower back twinges have started. I am a lot looser in the abs department second time around preggo and a lot more up top-front than i am used to...so going to need to put a bit of work into glute med and transverse abs strengthening. All fun and games #activemummy#2ndtimepregnancy#2ndbump#running#runningmummy#viszla#armywife#activelife#activeeveryday
1 week side by side. Today in my accountability group we are discussing Non Scale Victories! Things that may change after starting your fitness journey that aren’t reflected on the scale.
• “I felt great pulling on my jeans for the first time this fall” or “I’ve worked out 6 days this week... more consistency than I’ve had in years!” Are some of the things we get to celebrate.
Oftentimes we look at starting a new routine as daunting and we become paralyzed in our belief that we can’t do something that it prevents us from ever starting.
Just start. 1 week into this new exercise program and I’m already feeling changes. Let’s shoot for the small victories, the non-scale victories, and the victories when you overcame your own doubt to just START!
Ready to begin? Message me for details! #transformyourlife
Never been into or pursued lifting Deads HEAVY. Always been a volume guy and stopped around 405lbs, but that stops today. NEW Goal is to pull 500lbs by Christmas, who knows maybe Thanksgiving. I know that’s not much for most of you meatheads, but oh well...I’m just a little guy who runs now😂👶🏽🏃🏽♂️
1st time hitting deads in 5 weeks 😱
405 was money like always
415 wasn’t as pretty as normal 🤷🏽♂️
🏃🏽♂️Run 260 of 365 • 1 mile in 6:30⏱
Running Total: 407.66 miles • 45:25:39
This weekend I tried something new. It was fun, it was challenging, and it made me appreciate strength and function.
I'm not working out like I used to, but I'm still lifting 3-4 times a week, getting some cardio in, and sometimes make it to BJJ. If you're active, stay active, if you're not active, get active! Figure out a way to get moving.
Inactivity is one of the worst things we could put our bodies through. If you can breathe you can train. You can dance you can climb, you can walk, run, swim, bike, hula hoop, jump rope, you CAN. So what are you waiting for? Try something new.
Monday morning run with the hubs is done. Been struggling to get my cardiorespiratory aspects back in line and feeling comfortable. Because of the rain and a traveling running buddy, my last 2 short runs were on the treadmill - I ran straight through without intervals. My last long run was also on the treadmill running straight through except for short walking intervals for fuel and hydration. I could tell a huge difference in my breathing on our run this morning, my pace was a bit better, and we had good negative splits! #happyme#wegotgoals#activeeveryday#marathontraining
Perfect September evening for a stroll over the fields. Swam this morning, cooked a huge roast lamb dinner and hopped on an international call to the @261fearless New York marathon team to talk about keeping well whilst marathon training. All good. How was your Sunday? #activewomen#activeeveryday#septembersun#followyourpassion
