I had hope in Tag from the very first trailer. This movie did not let me down. It has some flaws but it’s an overall good movie I would recommend. The cast in this movie is great. They all have great chemistry and end up being very funny together. There characters were also very likable. The story actually works well. The movie doesn’t get boring. The scenes where the characters are playing tag end up being hilarious and fun to watch. This movie has a lot of funny moments. There are some jokes that don’t land but it’s only a few of them. Most of this movie is just non stop laughter. I also really liked the message this movie gave. You are never to old to stop having fun is the message I took from it. Overall this is a very fun movie. It’s not perfect or the best comedy I’ve ever seen, but it’s a lot of fun to watch with friends.

I'm not sure how wise it is, but I really believe that making a wrong decision is better than not making one at all. I don't get the point of waiting around for things to happen, if you have the capibility to do something.
I guess we all have different insides. Some of us need to learn how to make some more decisions, take action, do something. And some of us (me) need to learn how to check in with Papa if we are even on track, to be patient and wait for my season.
Learning, always learning.
UPGRADE (Leigh Whannel, 2018)
I love Leigh Whannel. I love the first couple of Saw films, I love an Aussie writer/director with a budget to make what he wants.
Upgrade is fantastic. A great action romp, an episode of Black Mirror on some fucked up, steroid-laced ecstasy. While the story won’t win any awards, it’s a revenge flick at heart, the unique setting and concept make it seem more enjoyable than a 3281st fast and furious film. With a great twist in the middle and an ending that’s both happy and horrifically bleak, this film stands alone and above its counterparts.
The fight choreography and, specifically, the way the action scenes are shot start out like chocolate; delicious but, too much will become stale and unpleasant. Except Whannel’s vision and brilliant execution transforms the action into a full on, all you can eat visual buffet, leaving you slathering for more. I didn’t want ANY of the fight scenes to stop, I absolutely love the way it’s shot. I love the single takes, the camera being bolted on to Greens every move, it thrusts you right into the fight, whether you wanna be there or not. The hilariously shocking violence and gore is restrained, used only fleetingly and is a beautiful nod, an ode, a reminder of where Whannel started in his Saw debut.
The cast is the only weak point. While Logan Marshall-Green is shining, absolutely outstanding, cocky, funny, menacing and totally badass, the supporting cast are kinda awkward and expendable, and really only serve as expositional tools. I wish the silliness was amped up a little more, too. It’s all a bit too dark and serious, tonally, with glimpses of how daft the concept really is.
But, other than those minor things, it’s a roller coaster ride. Just good, solid, heart pumping fun. Good stuff. Great stuff.
