The surrounding of Burg harbor (Fehmarn) on this photo might not look great. But I was excited to see the Germania VI there. That ship is the last in a line of great constructions, beginning in 1908 and the last one (this one) in 1963. All were built for the well known Krupp family in Germany and in each new ship they tried to use their experience (using the predecessor in yacht racing) to improve the newer model. This one was the first yacht ever to be built totally using welded aluminium. I would love to see it live in action.
BURGESS TECHNICAL SERVICES SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERS NEW SUPERYACHT
The 74.5m superyacht ELANDESS has been delivered by German yard Abeking & Rasmussen in association with Burgess Technical Services and British designer Harrison Eidsgaard.
Surely one of the sweetest small boats in the Melbourne Classic fleet is now on the market. “Tandanya” built in 1940 to a Henry Rasmussen design is “right” in every way. For the full story click on link in bio. #abekingrasmussen#cyaa#classicyacht#woodenboat
Happy Tuesday from our Project Dracarys. 😎 🚀🚁 • 96m • @designova 🐉 (Also, more people are noticing the tight clearance for the helicopter for landings than we expected… You guys are very observant – the roof overhang on that part of the superstructure is actually designed to retract almost fully when take off and landing helicopter operations are in effect.) 🚁🚁
