We look forward too seeing you on the day.
I am sooo glad to have a rest week this week 🥳
Last week was brutal! 🥺
It rained constantly and I had a strength block so I was endlessly riding up very steep hills at super low cadence.
Now I am going to enjoy a nice week of recovery rides ☕️
TRAINING ON THE FLAT - This is Hong Kong. Hills, flyovers, and more hills mean that any flat ground is highly sought after for any rider trying to get in base miles in Hong Kong. Loops along the Lantau airport and beyond are popular destinations for many seeking some speed training. So break away from your day indoors or out with the UMA GT Shorts’ smooth, flattering fit and plush insert. @purefitnessofficial⠀
Quite a wet one today!
Rainy training is much more bearable when you have the right equipment.
I think the most important items are:
With these I can stay as dry and warm as possible, the cap keeps the rain out of my eyes and my lights help me to be seen when the visibility is low 😊
Pretty much wearing all my clothes today! Suddenly winter is here?! ☃️
Double gloves, double baselayer, neck warmer, neoprene overshoes and headband: only things I would change for a deep winter ride would be add a thermal hat and a waterproof coat (for the full wind protection!)
Oh and I’d have a thermos flask for my drink so it doesn’t turn into an icicle!!
My bike is not yet dead! The frame has been bent back into shape and the mech hanger bolt holes retapped. I picked it up from the bike shop on my way up to North Devon and arrived just in time for a quick sighting lap before the race started.
It was about 6 degrees and the wind was really strong so with wind chill it was pretty cold!!! 💨
I got a fast start and led for most of the race but coming into the final lap Cat caught me up and then when I dropped my chain (🙈!) she took the opportunity and attacked 💪
I’m absolutely loving racing our local league - it’s tactical and full-on effort from start to finish and it’s never a done deal until we reach the chequered flag 🏁
Top riding ladies!!🙌
ASSOS of Switzerland: Because ladies are special
