For #VanityFriday I wanted to share the things that would be on my vanity, if I actually had one 😂 One day I will I have a beautiful tiny vanity but right now our space is a shared space. Let me tell you all about my @elfcosmetics obsession. I absolutely love all of my #elfcosmetics . I've been using the #acnefoundation for about 10 months now, and you can tell it's well loved haha! But about 2 months ago I threw out all my make up that had been around for over a year and needed to purchase more. I thought I would try out the other elf products since I loved the foundation so much. So far I am very pleased!! My #lippie is by @trestique and was featured in the @fabfitfun #fallbox I absolutely love this color and even more, I love the magnetic cap! I never have to worry about it coming off in my back. #realrichards#lippielove#eyebrowpallete#makeuplife#liveyourbestlife#loveyourlife#elflife#minimalist#minimalmakeup#minimallifestyle

I will admit that I have been intimidated by the thought of posting such a raw and vulnerable photo of me, especially on a platform that is completely saturated with sexy, and beautiful women. As you can see, I am (and have been for 10 years) an acne sufferer - often dealing with the worst kind of acne there is: cystic. This is a part of myself that I have kept hidden (or, tried to hide) for most of my adult life. For many years it felt as if my battle with acne would claim my youth and beauty, my self confidence, sense of worth and often times, my very happiness. Today, although not completely free of acne, I feel quite free (almost free) of the mental weight it has plagued me with. We all fight our battles in life and I understand this one seems quite trivial in the whole scheme of things, but it has been a profound and life changing experience for me, and one I knew I would ultimately feel compelled to share. When I told my personal story to @loripedrick, she asked me if I would be willing to write an essay for her beautiful and profoundly inspiring series @growing_up_girl, sharing what it was like for me to grow up in my skin, as well as photographing me for the series, completely unretouched and makeup free. Although facing vulnerability head on was not something I felt I wanted to do - I knew it was something I HAD to do, and it is an honor to be included in such a courageous project. I wanted to share my story with other young girls (and boys) who may be inspired by the notion that their acne does not define them, nor does it diminish their beauty or value. To read the full essay (or listen to a recording of my reading) head to the link in bio. And friends, always be kind to your neighbors: they may be battling issues you know nothing of. ✨🙏🏼❤️ 📸: @growing_up_girl #growingupgirl @aerie #aerieREAL
Before & after progress using @banishacnescars starter kit! My scars have improved so much over this past year 💕🙈 My skin feels healthier & more balanced, also some little forehead lines I had are practically gone! I used to DESPISE that scar by my right eye, it was so wide and deep from all the cystic spots that took place there- it was a constant reminder of the pain I went through... I can’t believe it’s actually gone!! Thank you banish!! The power of natural skincare is amazing 🍃💕 p.s. if you want to try banish out for yourself use my discount code “Kali” to save some $$ 💰
Day 34: couldn’t be bothered to get out my camera. So tired! Skin is breaking out still, but it’s not too bad - there’s a lot of hyperpigmentation. Cannot wait for the texture to die down. What’s the bet foundation everyone’s found for Accutane?
Some food for thought: if you google “ does _____ cause acne?” Most likely the answer you will get is yes. The more I’ve learned about acne, the less I know. It’s such a complex thing. But one thing that I do know for sure is that you can’t be perfect. You can’t avoid EVERYTHING. You can’t avoid life, if you do this the thought of acne will control you. Being perfect will make you miserable. It’ll become an obsessive thought where you start to avoid or supplement EVERYTHING that you think triggers your breakouts. We all want to know what causes our acne so we can be free, but sometimes when searching for the answer we become more trapped and frustrated than ever before. So do yourself a favor today, don’t google anything about skin. Your skin isn’t your life, so don’t make it that way. Imagine what you can accomplish when you take all that time and energy spent worrying about your skin and put it towards something productive and meaningful! Don’t obsess over it, stop worrying. Free your mind and allow your thoughts to focus on things that make you happy. Show yourself some luv and kindness 💕
Quality over quantity is my motto when it comes to clothing, beauty products.....and everything these days!
There are a lot of amazing vegan, natural and cruelty free products out there, but not many that are zero waste.
I was elated when I discovered @elatecosmetics , bad pun intended. I have been using the fresh tint foundation for over a month and let me tell you I’m in love.
The fresh tint foundation offers light coverage that makes my skin look healthy and radiant. Oh, and did you notice....it comes in glass. ✨

Isss looking a lil ruff tbh. Luckily this handy dandy mask helps keep breakouts at bay and reduces the chance of any potential scarring. Fades hyperpigmentation ✔️ Reduces cystic spots ✔️ Shrinks whiteheads ✔️Booyahhhhh it’s been one of my holy grail skincare items for over a year now 💃🕺❤️. Have you tried it yet?? Use “Kali” at checkout to save some green $$!
“I feel like a teenager again with the way my face has been breaking out lately. Luckily @dermablendpro’s Flawless Creator foundation and @beautyblenderhave come to the rescue. They do a remarkable job covering up even the most horrifying pimples. I’m pretty sure the one on my forehead could qualify as a mountain. Swipe left to see some before/after pictures. I didn’t use any filters or editing on any of these pictures. The foundation is just THAT good! ...and now I can go run errands without scaring children ☺️” - @jendoe •••••
One year ago today I relapsed from accutane. If this happened to you please PLEASE know that you’re not alone & it’s not the end of the world. There are so many options, natural or not you just gotta find what works for you and what makes you feel gewd. After having a taste of acne free skin for a year I wasn’t ready to go back to the daily struggles. I felt so heartbroken, discouraged, and betrayed by my own body. I tried prescription topicals again for a while and with no results the next step was accutane round 2. It was so hard on my body and personally I couldn’t put myself through that again. I couldn’t understand why this happened to me but I’m glad it did. It was a wake up call for me to change my lifestyle, begin focusing on my wellbeing: mind, body, and soul. My acne is so deeply tied to my emotions and the way my body hangs onto stress and guilt/anxiety. If this is you as well try meditating, running, doing yoga, or even opening up to someone who can help you deal with what you’re going through. I promise it helps to really connect with yourself and how you’re feeling! Feel those feelings girl. Sometimes it’s not about skincare or diet at all & perhaps that’s why these things often fail us- because we forget to check in on ourselves and our emotional well-being. We may think we’re strong when in fact we are hurting. I began changing my diet and cutting things out, I cut too much out and started being overly restrictive which was bad for me & led to more feelings of guilt and anxiety(talked about this on snap). Let me tell you I’m done with that shiz, I’m all about eating healthy but I’m also about food freedom. I eat healthy most of the time but if I want a doughnut I’m gonna eat a freaking doughnut damnit 🍩 . I refuse to let food control my life because of my skin. I still go through rough patches with my skin, sometimes it’s SO clear and sometimes I breakout like hell but that’s OKAY, I’m still trying to figure everything out and find a balance that works for me. Acne doesn’t make you any less of a person! You flaunt them pimps hunnayyyyyy 😋💕❤️
My sister is gawgeous!!!! It amazes me how fast time has flown by... we have spent the past couple of days together binge watching Netflix and piddling around the house. These are all things I have heard before. Having acne is confusing enough without all the impossible recommendations. Please from all acne sufferers to you, think before you speak. You have no clue what someone has or hasn’t tried and what they are currently going through. Instead of offering advice, offer a compliment. Nice hair, killer dress, I love those shoes- will go a much longer way💕
A textura dela é espessa, quase mousse.
My favorite foundations for Oily Acne prone skin. These beauties all have different finishes and coverage levels @esteelauder #Doublewear medium to full buildable coverage. Oil free. @maybelline #fitmematteandporeless sheer to full coverage. Oil free. @lorealmakeup #truematch light to medium coverage. (builds to full in my opinion)Natural finish.
@bareminerals #blemishremedy powder medium‑to‑full coverage buildable.
@bareminerals #mattefoundation sheer to full coverage. * I am a CREATURE OF HABIT so I don’t venture off with my base to often, which helps me maintain clearer skin.
I have found these foundations give me the coverage that I desire depending on the stage that my skin is in. It is healthy to treat the skin (when you have skin conditions) with the appropriate skincare and cosmetics that compliment your skin💋#acnefoundation#mattefoundation#mua#mualife#instabeauty#atlmua
Mask ✔️ Mat ✔️ Juice ✔️ My ideal way of starting this year out right is obv using my fav activated charcoal mask from @banishacnescars (mixed with bentonite clay & ACV). I love how deep cleaning this mask is, absorbing all the oil and impurities out of my pores & wiping out any blackheads in its path— lord knows I need every ounce of it after last nights festivities! Happy New Year everyone!! Make the most of it, Y a o n l y l i v e o n c e 🥦🥒🍵
