I have to tell you about this day.. this was day 2 at the event.. and unfortunately the day previous we’d just missed Rich, so we walked past again and the queue was ridiculously long.. but he looked over and gave me a smile and head nod as we walked past, after one of the #5Percenters mentioned we’d asked for him the day before, he tells us to hang on a moment.. he gets one of the guys to come round, and pull us to the front of the queue.
That’s the kinda guy he was. Always welcoming to fans and was shocked he actually recognised me from the previous times we’d met. Just wish we’d managed to get a workout in, that was always on my bucket list. These moments are the ones I’ll always remember though. In my lifetime I have known many talented people, and not to brag, this includes me. The thing is talent is only a small part of the equation. Without hard work, practice, and consistency talent will only get you so far. In my own example, I am a talented musician; however, because I don’t spend time working with that talent, I have nothing to show for it. I am not the most gifted mathematician, but my career involves data and statistics. I do pretty well with it because I work at it daily. Moral of the story, if you have a talent, or don’t have a talent doesn’t matter. What matters is your desire to succeed and the work you put in to get there. Work hard for your goals and dreams. You will see success, maybe not immediately, but with persistence you will see it. 😊❤️
