This morning I managed to do a mini facial before the school drop off 🙌 I’m talking full cleanse, tone and moisturise. Yes! And now I feel like a fancy pants who has had a spa at home facial. I’m off to London today and although I think I’m starting with a cold, I’ve thrown everything at it so here’s hoping I get away with it!
Last week @dermalogicauk were at the Trafford centre and being one of their #skinfluencer team means that I can show you what in the range works for me. This daily micro exfoliant is a huge surprise, it’s a powder that you mix with water to a paste. It takes a bit of getting used to, to get the mix right, but it works if you do end up putting more water with it 🤣 (yes I did put too much in the first few times 🤣) I’m telling you though, so far this is sneaking up to be a fave 🙌 it contains Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes which although might sound scary, it helps by exfoliate the dead skin which is always a good thing for me with acne #5minutespeace#freshfaced#adultacne#glowing
I’m sure you have heard that decompressing/ relaxation/ mindfulness is an important part of a healthy lifestyle! Well I’m here to remind you that it is, and to take 5-10 minutes today to breathe. •
Also, you don’t have to just sit and meditate, Today I added an extra 5 minuets to my shower routine with an added candle and hot cup of coffee. Just adding these little touches and breaking up the routine adds to the mindfulness and relaxation of the experience.
Want to learn more about mindful breathing and the neuroscience of communicating with your body. Check out our workshop this weekend. Please pre-register with Link in bio!!!
I’ve had a pretty amazing day! I headed to the O2 Arena and did the @upattheo2 climb. Which basically means I climbed to the top of the O2 Arena!!! It was my birthday present from my brother and SIL and my SIL did it with me. We were lucky it was a nice warm day, with clear skies. It was just a bit windy as you can probably tell from my hair 😂 I love pushing myself to do things and my SIL is already planning what we can do next 😆#upattheo2
MY MORNING IN 3 PHOTOS
Saturday mornings are always busy. With D and V having 2 dance classes each that alternate. I'm up and down that road like a lost nomad. So in between this and cleaning I call into the @coopukfood store, get a paper and a pain au raisin and have 5 minutes peace.
Anyone else enjoying the routine that the kids being back at school brings?
As much as I enjoyed the school holidays, I'm loving being back in a routine again. And it's not just me. I may be speaking too soon, but the little dude wakes up each morning excited to get to school and even the teen hasn't had to be practically dragged from her bed to get to college - yet.
While the kids are out of the house I'm making the most of the time to work in relative peace and quiet. Not to mention shopping without a constant wave of requests for a toy or a magazine. I'm even planning in a little bit of time for me each day. Whether it's taking five minutes to fill in my new happiness planner each morning, meeting up with my mum or a friend for coffee, catching up on one of my favourite TV shows or simply reading a book. And do you know what? I feel so much better in myself. So much more chilled out. Its amazing what a little me time can achieve.
And who knew I could grow to love Mondays!?
4 big kisses 😘😘😘😘
1 for the littles feeling big emotions about school
1 for the parentals feeling the same
1 to say thank you to summer
& the final one for all of you Bodhi Tree supporters 💙
This is a “mass-cot” and was this week’s school project.
Fill a sock with rice or grains (we went with bright green split peas and when we ran out had to top up with rice). Then stuck on some ribbons as tentacles, only got to five as a result of breaking ribbon and a hungry cat, cut up the bottom of the sock to supplement the tentacles. Lost the googley eyes so went with stock on letters, until we found the googley eyes again.
I’ll be amazed if squidgy gets to school in one piece.
Oh the whole point is them being able to compare their squidgy’s weight with other ones made by other kids in their class.
On this National #readabookday I finally made it into the @jack.coffee.bar and @eastsidepship #eastsidevisitorcentre on CS Lewis Square. A cosy, eclectic space downstairs, with very fancy interactive visitor information boards, local Belfast artwork, memorabilia and books to buy and upstairs to an amazing visitor centre and art gallery showcasing many more works and interesting facts about local East Belfast resis past and present. If I’d had time, I’d have ordered another coffee, grabbed a good book & curled up in a corner for the rest of the morning. Definitely recommend a visit if you haven’t been 📚☕️
