Sometimes I just feel like this road - keep looking up and onwards. “In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks” John Muir This morning a short 10km, Hike#2 of @52hikechallenge and, knocked off 1 challenge from the Adventure Series “the forest hike! “🌳
When you make a decision about anything don’t go back and forth all the time and question yourself. Follow through. One step after another. When we made this decision with my friend that we are going to hike weekly we knew that we have to face the west coast weather at some point. But we made a commitment and we go. Regardless of the weather. We don’t complain: it is what it is. Complaining wouldn’t change anything so why would we waste our energy on it? We just have fun under the current conditions. It feels pretty good being committed and consistent! The biggest victory when you don’t feel like it but you do it anyway. Because you promised to yourself and your friend. It’s a winning attitude! Would you like to learn it? Talk to me. Link in bio to schedule a chat. Photo @xo_klaudi thanks for being with me in this adventure #anitapapplifecoaching#hikeyourselfhappy#52hikechallenge#fun
Alpen in the land of fire and ice. Fun fact for you: The Vikings are the ones who gave both Iceland and Greenland their names, purposefully mis-naming them both so that their enemies would hopefully go to ice-covered Greenland instead of following them to where they actually settled in Iceland. What country is on your bucket list?
"This is what you'll get / When you mess with us" -Radiohead, Karma Police
This song came on the radio yesterday and got me thinking.
Do you believe in karma? Or do you think it's something we've just invented as a way to cope with bad people?
Throwback to June 2017 in Supai.
Winter is coming! We’re expecting our first snowfall of the season on Long Island today but, instead of hibernating, I’m busy making plans to keep my promise to myself to try to hike all year round. Not sure how it’ll play out, but glad to give it my best shot. Have a great day, everyone!
Karla’s top 5 tips for camping on the beach #sponsored by @REI
1. Make sure to use your rainfly, as water from the ocean may collect on your tent.
2. Bring a mat for your tent entrance so you don’t get sand in your tent.
3. Extend your rain fly out so any dew slides off the the fly.
4. Bring wet wipes to clean up after a day of fun in the sand.
5. Don’t forget your towel, bathing suit, and flip flops.
This weekend, I @Karlacamador attended the @REI Coronado Campout. We started off with a one hour kayak, followed by setting up of our tent. Next, we played games with fellow campers and got to paint our own custom caps via art therapy time. After that we relaxed, cooked up dinner, had s’mores and tea. The following morning we were greeted with breakfast and coffee. To our surprise @corepower yoga led us to practice on our mats. It was a wonderful experience and we even met some fellow 52 Hike Challenge participants. Don’t hesitate to check out other REI campout happening near you. 😊 #optoutside#52hikechallenge2018#52hikechallenge

Your pics feel very lovely!!
Sometimes, after a hike I scroll through my photos and think, “shit. I missed that shot.” Or “why didn’t I stop there and capture that view?” But then I remember what I was doing while my photography was being imperfect and I feel a bit more at peace with the imperfections of life. For example, in this photo, I think the peaks in the distance are a bit cut off. But do you care? Does Kali care? Should I care? Nah. #embraceyourimperfections#pensivepost#thatview
Hike # 40 of 52, Colby Canyon Trail. It was good to be back in the mountains and the air was clean in the San Gabriels, but otherwise this was kind of a boring hike. And I'm behind schedule 😬
Truely a stairway to heaven. No photo could do justice to the beauty, the enormity of the surrounding mountains or the shear number of stairs that were climbed to get there 😅 #muellerhut#aorakimountcook#hike44#hike45 📷 @shawnplucas
If you haven’t heard, the Old 96 District has 6 South Carolina state parks with 12 hiking/biking trails between them. 😲

“She never seemed shattered; to me, she was a breathtaking mosaic of the battles she’s won.” 🏔🏔🏔🏔 thanks for the tag! The PNW Peakbaggers have plans already for the weekend, what are yours? .
Finally got to see Upper Yosemite Falls, was lucky enough to see a rainbow 🌈 3.2 miles one way, gaining approximately 3,000 feet in elevation along the way. Heading to Yosemite Fall Overlook, a small platform near the mouth of Upper Yosemite Fall.—————————————————————————————————————————- #HikeOn#52hikechallenge#Hiker
